MOT day She PASSED! Looks like I put her back together properly then....I knew the fact there were no more bolts left in my tray was a good sign!
Finally fitted my Watsen 'Blinkers', with help from Arthur (yet again), thanks Arthur!! I now see what you mean by the gap, but I think I can live with it (famous last words). Just need to do the oil & filter change before putting her back together
Oil & Filter change done!! Fairings refitted with Watsen 'Blinkers' working!! Just need to find some time to enjoy it
Rode it then when I got home I removed the wheels to clean em and fitted captive spacers. Going in for front braided lines tomorrow. Can't be arsed fitting them again. I hate bleeding frigging brakes. Only £36 for labour so not that bothered.
Just google cbr1000rr captive spacers. They're like the standard axle spacers but have a lip on the inside edge which sits inside the bearing lip seal so when you remove the wheels they don't just fall out then when you replace the wheels you can just lift up the wheel and push through the spindle. Only around £30 a full set.
What a day! Fitted carbon frame covers, swing arm covers & air intakes. Had new Galfer discs fitted. Front and rear Fitted some tasty titanium!
Got my front HEL brake lines fitted at a local dealers for £41 inc fluid, result of sorts, although I did have to wash off brake fluid from my master cylinder pipe and callipers! Never mind, done now. I wouldn't have got it on there in the first place though! No pics, they're just brake lines. Maybe one or two tomorrow. Also got these cheap preload adjusters from China for a fiver and I can see why, I had to open out the thread from 4mm to 5mm and fit appropriate grub screws. The ones fitted were flat ends which would in no way grip the adjuster nuts and the first sign of nipping them up caused the threads to pull. Turns out they were 0.2mm oversize whereas threads in ally should ideally be undersized and the only full thread in the hole was at the last 2 threads!. Never mind, all done now.
Oil and filter change. Standard Honda filter and Castrol Power 1 Racing, used this stuff for years now,in my 600RR and now in my blade, never had a problem with it and nice slick gear changes
