Didn't do anything to the bike practically instead spent the whole day researching huggers, tail tidys, slip on cans, rear sets, levers etc. Ordered a R&G tail tidy and hugger. Can't decide on the can, levers or rear sets. Any advice?
Treated myself to some new tyres. Oops, wrong forum Never knew before that Continental did tyres for bicycles.
Go for ASV levers, top quality. Rear sets I went for Gilles and they are lovely! Expensive but worth it.
Thanks Si, I'll check these out. All i need to do now is get anything i buy shipped to a different address so she doesn't find out. Cheers for the info!
So many things to think about. The racefit looks and sounds stunning. Trying to get my head around whether the £££ for it is worth it.
Actually went out on it twice over the weekend, including a trip to the newish MotorTown Cafe on the A46, next to LinTran. They do a decent burger and brew
Spent hours looking for exhausts. Finally decided between a Delkovic 200mm carbon for £180 or a two brothers M-2 Black Series Carbon for £400. Any suggestions which to choose? I like the look of both and £180 is very tempting but the two brothers is a quality brand. Here are a couple of pics.
Personally I wouldn't go for either. If your budget won't stretch to a Yoshi (not too loud) or a Racefit (ear banging loud) I'd keep waiting till you've got a few more quid or a bargain pops up on fleabay and get the one you REALLY want. We've probably all been there, bought something that was a bit of a compromise only to end up buying the real deal in the end.
I wouldn't go for delkevic tbh you can get a good second hand Akra or yoshi for £400 and they work well with the bike even without a power commander bet r and d by delkevic is not even close [emoji16]
A quick search reveals they are designed and tested on their own rolling road the akra and yoshi pipes are no doubt good but are they really that good that they warrant a price tag 4 times that of the Delkevic??
Looking at the welds and material I would probably still go Akra or yoshi, it may be brilliant but I tend to think you get what you pay for [emoji6]
....and if you don't buy OCD's Yoshi then look at Arrow GP2. You can find them new for less than £300 on the bay but be warned they are evil loud without the baffle and don't sound as nice with the baffle fitted. The bike will be a little harder to start with the reduced back pressure and it will idle a little higher without a remap but they sound amazing and the quality and history with sports bikes goes way back not like some shite Delkevic (there's a reason they're only £180!!)
I've decided against the delkevic, but the yoshi doesn't really appeal to me and neither does the arrow gp2. I really like the look of the two brothers and I'd rather pay for something that i like that may be more expensive (two brothers) over something i just don't like the look of at all (arrow gp2). That really does to me look just bland and featureless, it may be loud and well engineered but so are the rest.
I personally don't like the look of the two brothers can, I've got the ackra, but the yoshi's sound amazing
Im with you, it looks all wrong to me. But hey ho, the World would be a pretty boring place if we all liked the same stuff [emoji1] [emoji1]
Try as I might I just can't get to like the looks of the akras or yoshi's. Listening and looking at them on youtube doesn't do it for me. If I had to pick between the two I'd probably go for the yoshi. The problem is I don't have to pick between the two, being spoilt for choice is a pain in the arse. The carbon on the two brothers looks the biz to me and they sound as good as most others. The racefit and austin gp sound amazing but I don't think they look as good as the two brothers. I might try and reset my brain and start again!
Bottom line, get what does it for you. It’s your bike. Everyone has different tastes. I’s sure the Two bothers exhaust is well made and will be nice on the bike.
