Checked tyre pressures headed up to the Yorkshire Dales, cracking roads, pretty quiet no special vans with photographers Ihiding inside. 140 miles covered, cup of tea at the bridge. Bike was awesome , really enjoyed the ride. Patted tank. Hopefully a few more before the weather turns.
Haha, like the bit about "patted tank"..... Intending heading same direction tomorrow, Durham Dales and then across into Wensleydale. Out with a mate on his R1. But don't panic, I'll make him ride half a mile behind me, bit like the Queen and the mad Duke....
Well after reading about patting the tank, I did it today.... As I did, I said, "thank you for a lovely day, I'm sorry I had to take you out with that bloke on the R1, but at least I made him stay behind us" Tail pipe wagged when I said that....
Re bled the new Hel Lines I fitted a few weeks ago as I was a bit disappointed after fitting them initially! A few bubbles popped out the master cylinder so gave me hope. Cleaned out all the callipers and fitted new Honda OE pads front and back and took it for a test drive.... FECKIN HELL I nearly took my bloody teeth out me head! Now they work properly!
I confess I didn't pat the tank but I may of lovingly stroked its contours as I walked past, in a rather loving and sensual way. While smiling like a deranged man with a gigantic stiffy!
Loving this patting the tank lark.... I went to put some bottles in my recycle thingy tonight and gave a little pat. Poor little Beta sat next to Blade seemed put out so I gave that a little pat as well...
Wanted to fit crash bungs and didn't want to cut my mint HRC fairings, so thought I'd try out some cheap chinese fairings. Colour scheme picked by my misses who has never liked the HRC colour scheme (she clearly has no taste!). Fit is largely very good, except for the lower portion of the left-hand cowl, which will need further bodging to get it together properly... overall though, very pleased with the look. 3239 by GappySmeg on 1000RR - The CBR1000RR Fireblade Forum 3240 by GappySmeg on 1000RR - The CBR1000RR Fireblade Forum 3241 by GappySmeg on 1000RR - The CBR1000RR Fireblade Forum 3238 by GappySmeg on 1000RR - The CBR1000RR Fireblade Forum

They look great. Too bad the abs version is more expensive tho! Is there a UK distributor that you know of?
Nope, i've been looking too. I'm not a fan of buying abroad, but looks like i'm going to have too on this as these just do not become available 2nd Hand
