Replaced my Racefit Black Edition titanium can for a carbon fibre one. All new packing and riveted together. Change is as good as a rest as they say [
Added a bit of bolt on bling. Thats just about all visible fastenings now changed for delicious titanium. Gotta be worth 2 seconds a lap.
That's great, Great Guy. Can't take mine out to test at the mo, in bits. Waitng for the posty to deliver tail tidy.
Just fitted black shorty levers, smoked integrated rear light, removed rear pegs and put on Hotbodies tail tidy. Temp wired the plate light, anyone know what connector I need to fit to the stock loom? Don't want to scotch lock or cut into the original loom.... 7x5 'show' plate should arrive this week, then just got to get to the flasher relay and i'm ready for the summer! tick tock tick tock..
I bought a damaged second hand rear light and just cut the connector off that and heat shrunk it to my aftermarket light
Fitted new pads and boots (scrubbed them in yesterday - scary as hell) Today nearly taken out by an Addison Lee taxi, was a close one, not joking but his bumper scraped my jeans. Only cat like reactions saved the day (patted the tank and ABS as a thankyou)
Replaced the front sprocket with a 17 tooth Renthal item. Split the chain and gave it a good clean and riveted it back together. Gave her a damn good clean. May have patted the tank once or twice ☺
I have a DID chain splitter/riveter. If your chain has a soft link you can press out the pins and split it but you do need a spare joining link to replace the old one. Without trying to sound patronising it's probably not the kind of job to do if your not sure what your doing. Take a look on you tube, there are probably loads of 'how to' videos on there. Also be careful if you end up buying a chain splitter/riveter, there is a lot of junk out there.
Fitted the tail back on provisionally after the vinyl wrapping. Also fitted a new hollow m8 titanium bolt for the number plate bracket.
