Well spotted.... She's been off the road since end of last season, ABS all removed and massive weight loss program as well as some quality brakes and lots of Ti bolts...
New rear tyre fitted this morning, S21R, the new bridgestone. Looks a bit more round than the bt016, so it should go faster into a corner I gues. Hopefully good weather with eastern
Fitted new battery and rode her to the garage to get her MOT'd in the week. First time I've swung my leg over it this year
Fitted these....after years of using Renthal dual compound for years! Then got converted to Pro Grip 717's now I'm trying out these Accossato Racing grips, They feel mega sticky....
Oil and filter and brakes all done. OEM filter and Silkolene Pro 4 Energy oil. SBS Street Excel pads all round and a Galfer wavy disc on the rear to give it a bit more bite
Picked her up from the MOT, quick bimble around the long way home, and back just as the rain started.
Beautifull spring day over here so took the blade out for a good 150 km's to get the new S21 sweated out
So i had a little tinker today Removed the exhaust ready for Removed the previous owners charging port (PS IF ANYONE WANTS THIS THEY ARE WELCOME TO IT) And changed the clock
Changed the oil and filter. Used Silkolene comp 10/40 see if it makes any difference with consumption
I just changed to that from 5/30, not noticed any probes with gear change but not done enough miles to say oil use is better. Mine wasn't bad though, 0.6 litre in 1500 miles
ABS has been awesome for ages but was getting a front modulator error. Been riding w/o ABS for a few weeks and quite like it, even in the rain PR4s provide some serious grip. Anyway replaced the front abs modulator in-between decorating the house and usual gardening stuff. Easy but fiddly job, takes no time to remove but a PITA putting the new one in, all followed by a full ABS bleed(times 4!) Used nearly a litre and half of brake fluid.. I am a man on the edge of dumping the ABS, just to need to ascertain what turns the ABS dash light off.
