Dry roads meant the RR6 come out from hibernation for a run to work, fookin cold and farmers had booby trapped the road home with mud too. Grrrr. Stayed bolt upright round the corners like a noob...sad but good great to get out. Safely back now and undercover in the garage and trickle charger plugged in. Bring on the Spring!
Thanks Paulo I’m hoping it sounds ace too Didn’t dare turn her over at 10pm last night.....kids in bed and all that!! Fixed that frame issue too Bit of paint from Rs paints and it’s looking like new pal!
Is that a tuppence? ? Haha If it sounds anything like me Racefit it will definitely be loud enough to wake the dead!! You get a baffle with Austins?
Looks good all apart from rear support bracket!! that seriously needs trimming up and shaping so it's not overhanging the top part of the mount
Holy crap. Someone more OCD than me. Good call, Dave, as a finishing touch. I didn't even notice when I first looked because all attention was on the can. I guess poor Whitty's got the grinder and file out right now!!
Haha oh yeah never noticed that.......I love the exhaust though, possibly more than my own but the bracket on the Racefit is beautifully crafted from titanium to match the exhaust!
looks better than the Austin bracket It seems to have a lot of adjustment in it, the OCD part of me agrees I could do with grinding that bit off......But the mechanic in me who thinks the new fairings are a twat says....it can wait until I do something else and have to take them off lol
It comes with a baffle........but it looks a twat to fix in and ........I like the end of the world noise Im getting from it at the moment!!! lol
Been fitting this today. Decided if i was keeping the blade then the first thing to go back on was an exhaust. Landed on my feet being offered this. Factory akrapovic titanium system. Just got everythong lined up. Hopefully get it all bolted up tomorrow and get the radiator back on so I can hear it.
They were well and truly twisted at times! Frustrating job when your trying to be careful with the parts.
That looks really special, Tuk. I actually prefer it to the usual shorter Yoshi/Akrapovic/etc. I suspect the overall length of the system is the same because you don't have the 'S-bend' that we have on the Yoshi etc. You might not be aware, but Honda charges 1092.00 for the titanium Akra' to be fitted to new Blades.
Cheers Nigel. Im extatic with it! Ive come to expect no less from Honda with their pricing. Cant remember the exact price I got for chain and sprockets but I laughed out loud.
