Next up was some tank gripper pads, £6 off ebay and I think they will perform just as good as more expensive options! :)

And finally some R&G boot scuff guards. For what they are these are quite expensive at £40 but these were a must as my Spyke Totem boots had started to wear the black paint off the frame so these will prevent any further problems and the quality is excellent :)

    First time? Wow!

I was out also, for a short while. The clouds began to look threatening, so I chickened out by not going too far.:(

Had a lithium battery delivered, feather light! 550g on our work scales.

Hopefully have the bike fired up this weekend to see how the exhaust sounds.

Well, actually, second time! But the real first time was just 5km to check if everything is okay after the big service ;)
I stop insurance during winter, I feel no pleasure to ride on sportbikes when roads are wet and air is cold... Yeah here in France we may be a little bit "delicates" :D
I will maybe buy a enduro bike or cross for next winter ;)

Ooooossshhh!!! New rubber fitted today (Metzeler M7 RR) followed by a 'careful' blast down to Oulton. Happy with them so far but need to get some miles done to get them properly scrubbed in.

The new 190/55 rear was a tad close to my new carbon hugger so I've raised it slightly with a couple of M6 plastic washers! :)

First ride of 2018 for me today!
She's been laid up since November

    Anyway's fitted a new(er) smaller Hugger

    Took this one off

    And put this one on

..pretty simple one would think, except for one of those b@sta@d rounded hex screws:mad: ...it was rounded by the dealer I got it from - as part of the purchase they swapped the crappy red hugger to the carbon one.

Had to slot it and use a stubby flat head screwdriver to get it out.

I tried one of the other screws in the hole but they are about 20mm long and wont screw in all the way...so need a smaller (10mm ?) screw; there's nothing in there at the moment :(

Looks good ....similar to the one I bought recently. Should be pretty simple to get some shorter replacement bolts or you could try using a couple of washers under the head of the bolt to effectively shorten how far it screws in. Looks like you need at least one new bolt though so may as well just buy some new shorter ones. Couple of quid on ebay your best bet!

Hey mate. Yeah the full works!

Shock is on its way, Barry has had it with his ohlins guy having some stuff done. I ordered some rearsets which I will need before I can fit the shock, they are stuck in Italy though
