That’s where I’ll run into problems. She’s 6ft tall and has the hands to match. A lot skinnier than me though. Actually this could work out.
Well, I did go for it. Sent a webform enquiry last night, only to find that there's no response today. I guess business must be really booming! Austin Racing is now looking good!
Well that was fun. Cam chain tensioner done 1. Side fairing off. 2. Fuel tank off. 3. 8mm socket, a couple of wobble extension and a small ratchet for the bottom nut, accessed through the clutch cable side. Top bolt same again but come to the other side of the bike. PS. Slacken the cover bolt before removing the the retaining bolts if you’ve not bought replacements. 4. Insert new tensioner and install retaining bolts. 5. Remove retaining clip from tensioner and install cover bolt and washer. Even managed it with my fat fingers.
Stick with it Nigel, from what I can gather they're a relatively small outfit but with worldwide sales demand. I wouldn't let an unreplied email put you off! I never bother with that email enquiry nonsense........I hate replying to emails too haha. If I'm really busy, replying to an email can be a ball ache. Just ring em up and speak to John if you get chance. His telephone manner and down right helpfulness will make you change your mind......much better to speak in person I find!
Not as 'blingy' as @tuktuk 's mail, but my dust covers arrived. Bit disappointed to be truthful. Nice look and nice fit, but no soft lining, thereby making me extra-cautious and retaining the fitted sheet also. Also ordered my Racefit Growler 2. So wet in West Midlands, I might as well work on the bikes cos I sure won't be riding them. For anyone interested, will soon be posting For Sale Yoshimura R77 Slip on in perfect condition, with link pipe, lower fairing infill panel instruction sheets and original box.
Excellent finishing touch. Took me 3 hours. Five mins to fit and 2.55 to admire and contemplate how much faster it would be!!
Braided brake lines. Or should I say only the rear so far. Started the job then realised I’d lent my mate my power bleeder. And it’s an 80 mile round trip. Quicker and cheaper to just go buy a brake bleeder kit. How wrong I was. 4 shops in and I finally got one. I’ll have to do the fronts tomorrow.
I think a bit of respect should be in order here, Hitch. You should note that NBB has paid meticulous attention to matching the 'baffle' colour to his new, blingy, brake lines. The only flaw from my perspective is that he should have removed Oxford's sales tag!
Well, you guys were right. Sometimes I get carried away with my hot-headedness. Emailed Racefit again today, and had a phone conversation which resulted in my ordering the Growler 2 slip-on. Made some later enquiries about other parts and received the best deal a customer could wish for. So I now echo PauloHRC's comment about 'outright helpfulness' as being somewhat of an understatement!
Sorry, Paul. Out of respect for the company and the fact I signed a virtual confidentiality agreement, I can't divulge any communication that might or did transpire between the two parties.
