Eazi-Grips Pro series applied tonight, really good quality, fitting not the easiest due to the many contours of the tank but I'm happy with them so far! :)

I must be missing something here:confused:
you go to all that pain cleaning and polishing and then go a put a sticker on your tanks making it impossible to clean or polish that bit properly again:rolleyes:

    Nice.
I zoomed in and can confirm that my OCD twitch remained absent.
    Nice job.

I gotta say, Paul, that the paint job is very good. The tell-tale is the paint on the (former) black plastic tank infill. A cheap paint will often show up as a different shade due to the different textures. I'm well impressed with that.

For anyone else with 2017 -2019s, there is a carbon replacement for that piece. £130.00 which is a big ask but might look good, particularly so on the matte blacks:

Yep you're defo missing the point.......one, its for extra grip for your knees and can relieve stress on your wrists under breaking.

Two.....they also protect the paint from rubbing from the inside of your leathers, grit can make it even worse. They're used by hundreds of thousands of people all over the world including race teams.

The tank can still be cleaned around them and they do come off, it's basically just an extension of a tank protector but more useful.....do you have a tank protector? o_O

So yep you're defo missing something here;):D

Moved it to the other side of the garage.

KTM has become a shelf to rest the shit that won't fit on the actual shelves.

Thanks Nigel. .....and that is exactly one of the reasons that made me go for some tank grips. I've explained the main reasons above but one big reason is the paint. If I didn't do something to protect it.....it would soon show signs of wear or mottling that we sometimes see. On this bike with this paint job, how difficult would that be to repair?? Very.....I'd literally have to send it back the the paint shop it was done at!

    What's that saying.....prevention is the best cure??

Yeah @bazzashadow you'll definately need some grips/protection on that black tank if there's non on. It's a pita colour for marking where your leathers catch it.

    @PauloHRC
I have got a tank pad, but it is smooth and black
surely the grit gets in these and is a pig to get out.
like a rough van dashboard. if it was smooth it would not collect the dirt.
and I do get it about sliding.
when I used to polish the VTR I would slide up the tank under heavy braking:)

Particularly like the headers. I'm thinking there's some big money in those!

Haha, I'm a very lucky boy!

Imagine the day I bin it though  Doubt il find a replacement.

Plus there is no mounting holes for a baffle and I have a suspicion its louder than the yoshi I had on previously which just scraped through noise testing.

Will be getting it dynod in the next few months and will stick a video up :)

Header pipes are all individually marked for some reason.

Not got many miles on but the blue started coming through straight away. Hopefully after a good thrashing on the dyno it will show more.
