Big 929 day today.

WD40, Mr Sheen, and Autosol.

Headers came up well. For those who don't know, these models have titanium as standard!!



Spent ages on rear sprocket and under guards and then removed pillion hangar from left side:



Also removed right side hangar on which the exhaust is supported. Thinking ahead, I'd snaffled a set of hangars off ebay for £19 specifically so I could cut off the foot peg mount. Sure, I could have bought a carbon or similar aftermarket hangar, but I prefer to keep as original as possible. Came up well, but I think I'll get it powdercoated black - or just spray it myself.

Although I'm not keen on the 'bastardised' foot rest hanger

 

Okay, @hitch, give me your best OCD suggestion. A proper aftermarket one? And to think that I thought I'd done a good job rather than just leave the open-ended peg bracket protruding. I'm off to get my Prozac.

I'm going to spray it black tomorrow and bake it with my hairdryer. I'll review it then.

 

Get a nice carbon one......that'll look the bollocks!

 

Looks awesome that Raphers .......surely the old fairings can't be that tatty?!

 

Around 40k miles all year round mate,scuffed on one side where a van knocked it over and a small crack in the nose cone from same incident.
I even took the badges of the tank to put on the new ones lol.
I would take a silly offer just to get them out the way.

Agree with others, check out a carbon hanger.
There was someone on here who made his own (albeit newer model) but it looked sweet; maybe dig that old thread out (I know you’re the King at that ) and try and fabricate your own?

Or Harris? I’ve got a Harris hanger on gixxer

 

Fill the little hole nigel and then paint them black will look fine

 

I cut my VTR ones and filed them then painted them and I think they look good

Blasted into work this morning...passed all the L plate scooter and "Polite Notice" hi vis wearing twats

 

Remember we all started somewhere. Having experienced the inadequacies of a 50cc, I think I'd be wearing hi vis in city traffic. We're just so vulnerable when unable to match speed of traffic flow.

Agree with you about the 'Polite'. Do they think that some drivers will read it as 'Police'?

Agree with you regarding "genuine" learners but this buggers are not learning. A few I see everyday.
