Fitted some new titanium bolts to the top clamp and to replace the crappy steel ones that came with my brembo rcs master cyclinder

Then ordered some more titanium bolts to replace the bottom clamp bolts and new shoulder bolts for the hugger and chain guard

    Raphael,
What do you cover the wheels with whilst spring cleaning the bike?
I take it this is so the ACF50 doesn't get near the brakes?

    Ray,
I just wrap them with a couple of old bed sheets mate, seems to do the job,I don’t go near the wheels with acf-50 as to risky getting it on the brakes and tyres.
I clean them with wd40 and have always used a wheel sealant/polish by a company called poorboys.
The more you layer it up the easier it is to clean

    Thanks mate,
I use WD40 to clean the wheels as well. I've got some of that Poorboys wheel sealant somewhere.

As nice as it looks Nigel I think you will just have to concede, you just can’t do tank pads lol
Just rest it on the tank lightly while sitting on the bike then get off and look from the back of the bike.

Optical illusion. The bike's on its side stand and creates a 2mm shadow . Or, I guess the masking tape might have slipped:(;).

i used to be very active on a car forum, and ppl used to post photos of their handiwork, electrical jobs that have already combusted, paintwork that looks like its been done with a spoon, bits stuck on upside down

me being me, would find something positive to say.

it was hard, so very hard

Great day shaping up in West Mids. Going to get some bikes out:D.

Can't ride the 929 though for fear of a bystander in a fuel stop ogling my 2mm off-centre tank pad.:(

Went out and upset Chris Packham and his followers by killing loads of bugs. Whilst nice to be out it was one of those rides that just didn't seem to gel, shame as the weather is going to be crap for days now.

I took mine out last night, i like evenings between sort of 6 and 8

even made it to Tesco for the old bread and milk cliche! Left my tail pack unzipped on the way there, and nothing came out - clearly not riding hard enough :D

Loads of bugs stuck to me too, better than that time a wasp flew into my helmet and got stuck in my beard.

One little question, assume you are riding along at about 35, what gear/revs would you be in? Same question when at 70. I cant quite get used to this revving to 13k business the BMW revs to 7000, and i red line it regularly, if i keep the bike in a low gear so it revs high, it just gets all twitchy, then i get twitchy, but at the same time, sometimes i end up with it labouring, like in tesco and it starts feeling lumpy

Revs to speed depends on my mood. With a litre bike you can chug along at 40 in 6th or be more focused and do the same speed in 1st or 2nd. My rule of thumb is 1 gear below the first digit of the speed limit when on a litre bike, so 2nd in a 30, 3rd in a 40, and then 4th in a 50 and some 60s. 6th is normally saved for when making progress on a straight-ish road.
