oh yes, the fairings are a masterpiece of complexity, for not much reason, it probably saved 6p per bike though

 

They seem like a pain! Managed to swap the nose cowl out without taking the sides and lower off but it needed surgeons hands to get to some of it

 

mine needs to come off soon, need to adjust some of the wiring, and i might get a new screen

 

I'm still searching for little things to "improve" my bike, in order to make it looks like a "racebike on the road"

That’s the look I like but it seems we can only get to a point before the real race looking parts are very expensive.


That's why I deleted this useless thing this afternoon XD

I did the same last week and found it very useful as opens up a lot of space to clean the swingarm behind the rearsets

 

Fitted the keyless fuel cap, think it looks better in black also?

 

Let some of us tell you that Chinese 'engineers' managed to make them even more unfriendly!!

 

A good, worthwhile mod.

For those of us who do not let our bikes out of sight, the locking cap is overkill. It's also a PIA for my bikes that are filled more than twice per year.

its £600 of pleasure though

the 750 does about 20mpg on average at the moment, because i have changed my habits. It used to average 16mpg, and thats a 60 mile a day commute on the M1

A rag around and it would see about 10mpg

I used to go to the supermarket every night, to get supper at about 10pm and always ragged it. For various reasons, I started feeling shit when i got home, so ditched that, and now get it delivered from Waitrose, and go into Chesterfield for the butchers and cheese factors. I reckon that alone has saved a load of fuel.

Of course, taking the bike to work costs about a fiver, where the car cost about £20

I leave it all to my personal accountant, who complains periodically, and does a full monty style 'He's out there now, ont' High Street, with a fucking Barclaycard, spending!'

what engine is in that? mine has the N62B48TU. The N62B44 is a bit ghastly by all accounts.

im changing it next year, but cant decide what to change it for, narrowed it down to three

im looking at an older one to be honest,im still researching it it at the moment as it could go badly wrong with an engine that size,the engine is a 4.8 v8 n62b48.
i have the n54 3 litre at the moment and find it a cracking engine so not in any rush

 

Must admit the best drivers at situational awareness of Bikers on the road are lorry drivers. I have my HGV cat C, but most if not all of the Class 1 drivers are great when I am out on the blade.

if its the N62B48 its not a bad engine, mine is on 140k now

 

They're the same when I'm out on the mountain bike...absolutely brilliant at giving me a wide berth on passing unlike most car drivers! I always try and jump on the pavement in the suburbs if I hear them getting stuck behind me to let them pass as a thank you

 

They most probably want to stay behind you

 

Looked out the window, checked the weather forecast, checked the time and saw just under 2 hours before rain was expected.

Kitted up, rode to petrol station and then on to the Woods for an "expensive luke warm cup of cat's pee" © @dessp2 . Managed to skirt the edge of the rain going there, whilst on the way back I started to notice raindrops on the visor but a tweak to the TC level and a less spirited ride got me home with nothing wetter than a Nun's fanny going through the menopause

 

I went out really early to get some time in before the rain too. Its still not rained.

I get my coffee from Nero or Mcdonalds, it was mcdonalds this morning.

Did my route through Matlock, which takes about 2 hours, and then tried to find curbar edge again, I did, and it was boring, so I went for some roads that I have found difficult in the past and avoided, turns out they were much easier now, then half way through, I realised what fun it is going faster! Its like a revelation!

Still got embarrassing chicken strips, but not sure that i care tbh

All in all, i have had a great weekend on the bike
