I did this on my RR4 and left the black cover off because I prefer the polished alloy look. If you want to retain the black cover, you need only to pad it out with a washer or two.;)

I fitted a set of ASV levers to replace the stock ones yesterday. Slightly disappointed that they came in kit form that requires self assembly but they went together well and were easy to fit to the bike. I haven't ridden far with them on but first impressions are favourable. The clutch action in particular is much nicer. The micro adjuster for reach is excellent, much better than the click adjuster on the stock levers and the Bad Dog levers I tried a few months ago.

Just a note about the order process. I bought them from Sportsbikeshop when they had a site wide 10% discount but they sent 2 clutch levers instead of one of each. There was a sticker on one of the ASV boxes with the correct product code for the brake lever but it had been attached to the wrong box. A little frustrating but it was sorted during the week I was away on holiday by their excellent returns department.

Sadly my piece of alloy didn't look quite that shiny although maybe getting a cloth and some metal cleaner is the easier option. Me 'padding it out with washers' is likely to lead to buckled wheels, damaged head gasket and failure of the HISS system.

I'll have another look at it tomorrow, if I'm feeling braver.

That stuff is great. Just used it to clean the burnt on dregs of my leathers (the elastic bit) off of the exhaust.

Its not the actual leather, its the weird elastic bit; the whole of the calf section is elastic with a zip on it....turns out that stuff melts on the exhaust

autosol and scotchbrite pads are amazing

cant comment on the anusol, however.

I bought new brake pads for mine, genuine honda ones. Have had bad experience with after market pads several times before

me too, scones are always good, I make a mean victoria sandwich, and my chocolate cakes start getting elaborate, it soon gets expensive. I did sell a few at work too in the summer but when you work it out, they are mega expensive compared to a costco cake

    Huh?

That is the most egotistical, self aggrandising, and possession worshipping approach to motorcycling I have ever heard of!

Oh, by the way. I do that:rolleyes::).

Had a day off work yesterday and did just over 200 miles, once the hangover had worn off mid morning. From home in Blackpool, up to Devils Bridge, Hawes, Richmond and then a big loop back round. All with one pillion footpeg attached and one not (see above), didn't seem to upset the handling that much :D

The Repsol gets a lot of looks between the livery and the plate (URLOSN).

The Harley gets loads of lookers as well. Most focus on the bikes name...
