yep its not the fitting thats easy, its the fact that the arms catch the bolts and the sprocket has a deep ridge before the teeth which catches the oil. if you can be worried check out me video Id love some tips/feedback. Its a very new bike to me (couple of months)
All you need to do is direct the plastic arms of the dual injector down away from the sprocket nuts, then twist the little plastic tubes round (from the rubber tubing going into the arms) until they are in the correct position. I'll post pics for you tommorow mate. Easier that way
Fitted ASV shorty levers (see numpty awards) for more info. I have wanted some of these for ages but having now fitted them I love the way they look but am not sure I like the way they feel. Will reserve judgement until I have had used them for a while once my back is better:
The black ASV levers look amazing, particularly on black Blades. Probably my fave mod I've done to mine along with the tail tidy, although I'm not brave enough to do any mods to the powertrain yet!
Carbon wrapped my side exhaust cover and tank infills with some stuff I had left in the garage from years ago. Not a bad job, but I will stick to the small bits as a fairing would be a bit too hard.
For a better feel I'd undo the clamps to the clipons for the brake and clutch, and move them closer to the grips mate. That'll give you more leverage with 2 fingers.
Nice levers mate , I am hoping to order a set of these soon. Going to have a regular one for the clutch and a shorty for the brakes
I decided on the long ones - how are you finding the short ones? can you apply full force to your breaking with 2 fingers? also what grips have you got on?
Hello Sam. The grips are Renthal soft ones, much nicer than the OE and absorb some of the vibration tingle. As I said they look great but sure about them but ColinBR has come up with an idea that could be why I don’t like the way they feel. Nice one Colin. I will try moving them as suggested. I can’t really comment on applying full force until my back is better. A quick tottle up the lane and back was all I could manage for now.
just booked me bike in to venture shield in golborne got the nosie part of ebay £22 gunner charge me £15 to fit or for rest of the kit fitted £120 so that means £142 quid all done what u think good or bad
Exhaust looks lovely mate Was looking at a 2brothers one myself from the USA but seeing your one I`m more inclined to go for that Hope it sounds as good as it looks Does it have a removable baffle ??
Thanks Freedom, I decided on a tail tidy and smaller plate once I saw my bike parked up next to you guys at Hunstanton as my std one looked huge lol, so thanks mate, as I do now prefer the look
I rode the Fireblade to work this morning, a bit of a chill in the air but a stunning morning to be on it. "Summer 2012...I'm clinging on to every last Ray of sunshine"
