Shorty levers... Bought cheap Chinese jobbies (yes I know before somebody rants) The finishing pass is poor, the coating is thin... I fitted them... Cocked it up by not locating the pin for the master cylinder and the brakes locked on after 100metres.... So removed and refitted properly and all was well. I like the levers. Relatively well made (for the cost). The only minor concern is at the setting nearest to the bar the brake lever touches the grip.... However I think in reality the brake would be locked miles before it touched
browsed the net oggling bike bits I cant afford yet then decided....Feck it! im going out for a ride that cure my yearnings took some new piccys too. http://imageshack.us/a/img411/691/backyjj.jpg

Took the bike out today for a spin. Before I went out today I said to myself that I was going to take it nice and calm and just enjoy the roads and scenery, as it was a little cold. For the first time in ages I actually managed to keep everything nice and calm, and smooth and really enjoyed the ride to a point where in actually got off the bike and stood back and smiled. Let's just hope tomorrow brings the same, all going well with a certain rebuild
Saturday night after a day of doing jobs round the house, gardening, cleaning windows etc, thought it would be a good idea to unpackage my R&G rad guard. Looks nice, so I thought sod it i'll fit it. Eventually got it on, not too much grief. The bit I couldn't understand on the instructions was feeding the cable ties through the radiator matrix...eh! I put them around the top radiator mounts instead, a struggle but got it. I also purchased some frame plugs that cover the swing arm and engine mounting points, give then a good wanging in so they didn't drop out....neat I thought, finishes the frame off just right. Sunday, missus nips out with the kids and I thought I'll sky+ BSB WSB and go for a quick blat on the Blade. Great, as ColinBR put it, calm and smooth. Got her back in the garage, stepped back and smiled. One more job while she's hot, give the chain a going over. ABBA stand out, in position then suddenly realised, oh fuck my nice new frame blanks. Locked her up and went to watch Sykes do the biz in race 1. Do I rag the blanks out or invest in another stand??
