Hel brake lines fitted. Callipers and rotors cleaned, Motul RBF600 pumped through the new arteries.

Respray and tart up the lower fairing while it's off the bike awaiting a new rad as they get peppered on track.

Thanks. Yeah it's just a spray can job with loads of stickers I had lying around.
It came off looking peppered up the front and with a large scratch down the side where I caught it unloading off the trailer. Not a mint job as I didn't spend too long sanding it down, but I did a few fibreglass patches on the inside to strenghten it up a bit and then just bought a Halfords spray can & lacquer.

MOT and new boots today. Passed without even the usual "exhaust loud" advisory!
Metzeler M9RR felt lovely on the 10 or 15 miles home (dodging rain clouds). Need to get them scrubbed in but it makes such a world of difference to the feel of the bike going to fresh rubber from slightly squared off ones

Lucky bugger. I got a set of PFM flat/drilled discs (not iron) waiting for me back home to slot onto my BST Tek 5's with Brembo GP4-RX Calipers and pads to match his discs. Gonna be face peeling, I'm sure, in that way only really good brakes can make you feel.

Spoke to the guy that owns the company for a good hour from here in the states when I ordered them; the man is a true and fine engineer for sure!!

Might upgrade to his six-pots at some point, already got a brand new set of Brembo M4's boxed up. Along with my lightly used GP4-RX's for sale I might be able to justify the sexuality/price of his calipers...

BTW, do you think it would be possible to anodize that disc retaining ring of his design in red?

I've been mulling it over but haven't looked deep into the material/possibility...

    I fitted a 520 chain with -1/+2 sprockets…

And fitted a healtech quick shifter and tested in as unsafe way as I could devise…

Seems pretty well set up to me. Should work on the down shifts too.
Can't see the chain from that angle though, would be good to see how much the chain flexes as the load changes.

I imagine the chain was jumping around quite a lot as there was no load on the rear tyre. That's why I kept the speeds modest, I didn't want to knacker the new chain or embed myself in my van.

How would it work on the downshifts on a 2007? There's no way to control throttle blipping.

I could be wrong, but I thought the QS cut the revs on the downshift too, although I seem to remember reading about a Healtech blipper which adds to the QS.
If I'm wrong then it may be because I have a slipper clutch and haven't noticed any issues with the clutches downshifts.

6D3310F2-F1B8-4587-86A7-15D16E41CE30.jpeg Has anyone else removed standard mirrors for barend ones? I love the look of no mirrors but need to know what’s behind me in case it has the ability to issue tickets haha. Also need to think about indicators. I’m about to road test so I’ll find out shortly..
