Spent the weekend fitting the new fairing and adding the decals, but today added Venture Shield to protect the new paint. Ordered a plain sheet which arrived today and cut shapes out to protect the front of the mudguard legs, lower fairing leading edges and under where my tank bag sits so it doesn't scratch the tank.
Bought a new camera to go on the bike (which you can just about see fixed to the crash bung). Then took the bike out to test it out and stumbled across this sign ;-) I needed an excuse to get some decent pictures anyway.
Very very nice Rob, looks sweet and did it take long to fit the dash? I do like that I mainly spent a few hours cleaning the blade yesterday, wash wax etc... and applied ACF50 to her. All clean and in the garage now. No more use this year unless we get some good weather and my op goes well tomorrow
Mate that was plug and play.......quickshifter a bit of a fiddle air box off etc to get to coils....and what you cant see is my PCV (thanks to Jamie).......but again plug and play....
Quality job there mate, even though it hurts to see the stuff go I am VERY glad it has gone to a good home
Cheers Jamie just the brembo stuff to fit (calipers and master cylinder ) and she ll be my bitch..... Silverstone GP on thurs and Almeria in Dec ! VRoooooooooooooooooooooooooom ! lol
Put on the Honda Racing HRC wheel rim stickers, fitted the 929 master cylinder, then almost stacked it on some deisel kindly dropped by a bus about 200 yards in front of me. The driver didnt half jump when i screamed at him through his open window in post adrenaline madness.
Got an MOT on the 929, flew through. Not bad considering it ain't had much love of late and was covered in shit for today's weather and seeing teapotone off.
Fitted new ASV levers over the weekend and had a proper play with the quickshifter! Considering a exhaust change decisions! Oooops tax expired time to SORN for the winter!
When you have a far superior and better looking bike sitting next to it ,one of them will be loved more than the other.
I know, i've got to sell the 929 because i just cant bear to part with the RRW, i've put too much work into it over the 7 years i've had it, we have been through a lot together. Lets get tattoo'd!!
Got a new back tyre... Got caught in a torrential downpour when I went to scrub it in! Nae fun! Then when I got home, spotted the front was below the legal limit in a few places!
Took the old girl in for a 16k service. Valve clearances all happy, fluids all changed and a nice, shiny gold chain fitted too. Happy days.
