Today I removed the datatool s3 alarm that came fitted to my newly acquired rr4. Not because it was faulty, although by many accounts it soon would be, but because I couldn’t stand that bloody bleeping/chirping noise it loved to make. Now there’s a blissful silence in the garage.

That’s a real shame if it’s true. Not sure if it’s legally enforceable but they don’t usually care, they just expect the defendant to comply out of fear.
And if it is true I won’t be buying another Honda. I don’t support bullies of any ilk.

Upset a GS rider. He sat behind a wide, but not that wide, tractor and some cars for ages until I decided he had enough opportunities and went past the lot on a straight. Much agitated waving of the arms as I went past him, followed by about mile where he tried and failed to keep up though the twisties, not that I go that fast myself :p:D

Did make me laugh as I did a loop at the end of the road and ended up going past him in the other direction, needless to say suitable hand gestures were shown to the long way round wannabe ;)

Looked at it , washed and polished it . Fitted a clutch lever guard then listened again to the new exhaust note that I fitted on Saturday.

wont let me show the bike as file is too big apparently.

Easiest way to do it if you're using a smartphone is to take a screenshot of the picture you want to upload then upload the screenshot. That compresses it enough to always upload on this website.

Manage to get phone under seat cowl so handy..took it to loomies early sun morning and let people sit on it etc then left after a bit as was becoming a work day!

All ready to enjoy - over the last couple of days I’ve changed the oil & filter, replaced the air filter and fitted a Gilles gear shaft support. Along with a bunch of other usual checks, adjustments and top ups. :)

Yeah as Raphel said, detailing term.
I had some scruffs from throwing a leg over, before my time. You'll see I've got them out aswel as the other spots from the lacquer.
The tank looks flat in colour because of rubbing from clothing. It's back to a deep colour now.

Took mine out for a proper ride today after its first shakedown yesterday having removed the ABS system. (2015) My god, it feels like a completely different bike. Nearly 10kgs lighter and that doesn't half make a difference...saved me eating lettuce anyway, diet can wait! :D

Why wait for winter? Its only a days work to get rid of it all. Now I've done it, I can't believe I waited so long (or until it failed) to do it.

I understand your enthusiasm but I’m just so busy with work and other projects. If I do decide to keep the bike I will delete the abs and I will also be removing all the other heavy crap too, exhaust valves, cat, pair, etc. The bike is just stupidly heavy for a sports bike that was 185kg in 1992.
