Today I got the bike out the van and went for a little ride , Just wanted to see how it feels , didn't go very far Only 8 miles pouring down , new tyres , I'll be honest never went over 50mph but I had a smile on my face , roll on better weather ,
Best feeling in the world, getting out on a new bike and thinking ... This is all mine Glad you have it home now
I sat next to her in the garage and we looked out at the miserable weather for 10 mins together and then I pulled her blanket back over her and left her to sleep until another day
Nice in the front room shot Hump it looks great .I went into the garage tonight and I am not sure if it was because the door was open but there was a misty film settling over the bike of condensation so I give it a quick wipe with a micro cloth and left the heater on for an hour.
Hassled my local dealer to source 2013 Repsol, he's managed to get hold of one so just have to agree price and fitting a few bits on delivery. Oh Barney 1 why did you have to take her out in the rain, or did you just do that so you could spend the evening towelling her down with much tlc check out this video on you tube(doesn't involve towelling ) Hrc is nice but couldn't resist this Repsol .SORRY. From a Grey haired biker..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwDmsBCejLA&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Couldn't agree more with you, but been there and done all that , guess I am getting too fussy in my greying years. I trust that you have a nice set of soft towels to dry her down with then. Yup they are there to be ridden but Blue skys and 20 degrees plus for me, god I must be sad!!!! Hope you are pleased with your new toy, I took a friends 2011 Blade out the other morning at 7am , clear sky , dry and -2, first time on a blade...wow 6000 revs front comes up well on throttle in first and 2nd, thought my gixer was fun. Blade for me, hopefully ordering tomorrow
She parked up in my conny my Mrs doing her nut in with it in there. Gonna take her out tomorrow bead these pads in
got out on mine for the commute to work, the morning was fab dry roads and not windy, different story on the way home gails and heavy rain now it looks like ive never washed it hha, ahh wel a job to do on sat wearther permitting
Harris levers and HEL brake lines are now on Really impressed with the levers, loads more adjustment then std, feel really good
As I don't have a blade to do anything to , I thought that had better change ....so I ordered a brand new Repsol blade today. Never owned one but have had numerous vfrs and a blackbird over the years. Should be down next week . Can't wait. few bits to be fitted by dealer, R77 exhaust, r n g bobbins , tail tidy , gb engine protection, asv levers , repsol cover. Bummer is no rear cowls available in uk yet! Any comments on the r and g offset bobbins for the rear of the bike? which I guess may stop the swing arm being scratched as you try to get the paddock stand on the standard cotton real crash bobbins. Grey haired biker happy bunny, guess my mint k2 gsxr 1000 is my rainy day bike now!!
Sounds good, don' t forget pic's when you get it. Not sure about the bobbins but don't forget the radiator guard. Happy Blading, there's no looking back now!!
Spent some time on the rear fairing I got from lee on here. Some fibre glass and sealer and rubbing back body work reach for painting
Oh yeah, radiator guard, knew there was something else amongst the excitement . As n when will post pictures. Enjoy the weekend weather , hissing down here!!!!
Not looked at it but new numberplate bracket has turned up today so will be fitted tomorrow (same as Martins) and buying Scooby's track fairing (because Martins missis said he wasn't allowed them)
