Today I stood in the garage having a brew and a burn, admiring my new ride. Ran her upto temp. Loved the throbbing feeling as I admired the bore of her 'Growler'!!! The Racefit can looks the mutts and sounds awesome, can't wait to get her out and parade her round town.............the blade looked pretty well too!:D

Nothing special, they just checked the suspension and adjusted it to my weight etc. etc. while I was there.. ( PDQ Taplow )… Reason: I installed a Repsol Hugger on my ABS Bike.

TODAY, i removed the Chinese fairings from the blade as they were already a bit crash damaged and now starting to melt! lol.

So stripped the bike down and taking the opportunity to do the flapper mod (done now, just needs fitting back to the bike - thanks Arthur for the call centre advice!)

Also while its all out in the open im going to get rid of a years worth of crap that as clinging to the bike. A proper deap cleans and detox.

My headers are looking rusty - anyone got any good tips for getting rid and cleaning them up? I had a little go on a patch with some fine sand paper and WD40 which seems to work, but not sure how 'good' it is for the pipes - probably not very.

Once all gleaming, im going to do a full on protection of ACF50 which should last me to the end of winter salt.

Also fitting an integrated tail light and trying to relocate the plate somewhere further towards the shock but think i need to fabricate some kind of bracket.
