Picked new bike up from dealer and went for 20 mile ride before sun went down. Great bike , very happy chap. with the r77 pipe and a map down loaded, the revs seem to just hang on for a bit on closed throttle whilst braking. will this go away when its all settled down a bit as bike brand new or do i need another map, the one the dealer down loaded was slip on can with o2 thingy. My immediate thought is how mad the k2 gsxr1000 was when it first came out as I still have this bike and what a motor, but like a bag of spanners compared to creamy blade engine.
Guess will spend the next week checking out weather forecast:D

    Done this week:

    - R & G Radiator Guard ( black )
    - Dunlop Qualifier
    - Evens Waterless Engine Coolant
    - Garmin Power cable

    Had a nice ride today.
Not as cold as I thought and streets were dry.

Getting the bike ready for the Scotland trip.
Swapped the rear cowl for my pillion seat and fitted my tail pack to match the panniers.

Also test fitted my camcorder mount as I have enough SD cards to film the whole trip :D
Just need to find a way to strap it down.

Also got a couple of cameras for the trip but undecided which one to take.
The system camera with bag of lenses.
Or the all round compact camera with Wide Angle lens and GPS to tag the photos with.

Muffking, my missus has the Lumix TZ7 and twice now I've taken it away on holiday as a space saving exercise as the 'only bloody camera we're taking, okay!' Declaration. Once I got to Iceland and saw the scenery I thought "God! Why didn't I bring the system camera" but the truth is, the result of the tiny Panny were so stunning and it was so easy to use that, save the lack of a viewfinder, I'll never drag an SLR on tour again.

MrH, go out a bit more often mate, please.....

Fitted the HIDs this morning..used 5000k bulb as i didn't want the blue 6000k, and judging by threads on the net, 5000k throws a brighter, whiter light if used with 35w ballasts. The HIDs are very white…. Lee and i did the pair mod too, junking all the pipework in the sides towards the air box so the ballasts can be hidden in the nose cone out of sight. A very neat job. Cheers Lee mate!

    Yes Si,

For what I spent getting back to ship shape top notch running order and refreshing the parts etc. its good.

Feels so stable / smooth over R1 but misses the raw edge the R1 has, plus its tiny - cramped up after R1

That bike owes me nothing with miles / trips / use I've had from it - and it works 100% again
