Cheers Mart, I loved the look of it too. Couldn't believe how little it weighs too. Made by Race fit, called a Growler "Black Edition" Will try to get a clip on of the bike running. Next is getting hold of Art to see if he can fit a Power Commander
Sounds awsome Dave V, just youtubed it, wow, ears are going to bleed, Scotland ain't going to be a quiet one, that's for sure
Oh yea I heard of them, I can never get a good video of exhaust sound it just never sounds the same. I just fitted a jardine exhaust which is silly loud! I'm sure he will fit it ya
As I only got the bike yesterday and there is snow all around today I have... Checked the tyre pressures (which were 32 front and 30 rear and the dealer was going to let me ride it home like that!!) Put on new tax disc holder Put on paddock stand bobbins Cleaned and lubed the chain Given the whole bike a clear and polish. I just really want to ride the bloody thing now!!
Today I realised my bike is pointless as with this weather all it does is take up space in my garage. Thoroughly hacked off with this shite weather now :-(
and some of you northern run monkeys didnt like my g.p.r can as it was too loud lol, good luck in scotland because if there is a cop within 5 miles of you he will be able to hear you it does look mint though
Thats a lovely looking end can Dave. I did a google search for fit black growler and it didn't come up. I didn't mind. I quickly forgot what I was searching for.
Did the same myself a few days earlier. There aint a lot or room to get the lead in is there with that big monkey IP56 lead connector stuffed on the end. I had to come out on the RHS too, no chance on the left and couldn't get it in the rear either! (ohh err Mrs!)
Right-hand side gud cos it lookin up at you instead of being slightly under cover if u see what I mean. Same side on the BMW so I can just swop it over from one to another. U rite about no room tho. Its an ABS bike. I've just bought it and was so surprised how small the battery is. I recon we fitted 'em just in time 'cos they sayin this cold snap here for a long time so bikes are going to be layed-up 2-4 weeks at least an that little battery sooooon DEAD! Was wanting to remove pillion footrest+hangers whilst I had seats off but can't see how to do it. I'm thinking whole sub-frame has to come off.
Fitted my new tank mounted camcorder bracket for the Scotland trip, meaning my mate can possibly use the suction one I have spare if it fits ok. Just awaiting the clear screen now so the cam can see. I had to remove my Oxford mini tank bag to get it to fit though, so I fitted this little zip bag in its place. It's basically a Lynx travel bag that came with some travel size smellys, but it has a hard base so is perfect for drilling 2 holes & bolting to the steering damper bolts.
I had my first ever ride on mine today! Only did about 20 miles on it just to check everything worked ok... which is does. Took it home and gave it a wash down to get all the road salt off it and then spent another half hour polishing and lubing it all again!! Roll on the dry salt free roads so I can have a proper play!
