Not expensive to do fork seals, go to an independant if you can it will save you a fortune to ask about.
Gonna drop em in at Kais suspension mate, they set the bike up for me originally and they're good guys. just means i'm gonna have to ride the Mrs' gixxer until i can get them done..
True, if you can remove the shox then you can drop them off at a garage to be done like many drop a wheel off to have a tyre changed. I did that with my old ZX6R and it cost me less than £50.
Dug the bike out of hibernation and got the service done. Gave it a bit of a scrub as well. Started right on the button after being put away in October! Slapped some tax on it. Also got the leathers out and cleaned and polished and the crap off. Proper gay bar shine now! Got next week off so hopefully will be out for first run of the year.
Got some metzeler m5's fitted, looking forward to a ride tomorrow. Though cant say I'm too keen on fresh rubber front and rear......
Took the rear pegs off, fitted the stompgrips that the postie brought on Thursday. Gave my yamaha paddock fleece to the R1 owner across the street .
Yip, couldn't be bothered even to eBay it, easier to walk over the street and sever all ties to the past, it's not like I can ask for it back now. Did have to listen to his tale of losing the front end and binning it though, which was the ideal time to suggest a new bike for him
Showed it what the sun looked like. It was a bit frightened of it at first but got its confidence back quite quickly and started chasing after it after a while. It's napping in the back of the garage now giving of the odd tick of cooling titanium.........Bless.
Changed rear brake fluid , Done a bit of lock wiring , Fitted a new King Carbon front mudguard , then went for a quick blast to test my new Spyke race suit . Feel better now !
Felt better shiny that the rosso's did run in. Well in the cold anyways, just gotta get some confidence back to push things more again. Happy as a pig in..... so far
Great stuff, they are fab tyres, better than anything i've had so far, and grip very well. You find them fast at tipping in?
They were lovely and yea tipped in nicely though didn't do too much as the nice twisty roads were covered in mud :'(
Had my annual ride like a tart outing Then did my annual give myself a talking too, and all was good in the world. Well apart from my frozen fingers.
Rode it from Leeds to Clitheroe for a brew, then to Rivington for another brew, then back to Leeds where the nice people at Jordan bikes took pity on me and gave me another brew for nowt! Washed and covered her in acf50, happy days.
