Respect... To all of you who are getting out on your blades. I am chicken poo as the roads round here in Lincs are like the bonneville salt flats and it is still flippin freezing, so looks like its going to be a while yet for me. So top respect.
I know what you are thinking dude i once went out at minus 3 at night to scrub off 90 miles because i had booked the first service the next day beleive me it was super tough and totally pathetic when i look back at standing at the side of the road in the dark nearly crying with the pain and then getting home to start washing it in coldwater which was freezing and leaving ice on the bike i cant believe it was me .Well today sat back in the chair and watched the match thinking its only a matter of a couple of weeks and you can be out from 6am until 10pm .
I rode it about 220 miles in Spring sunshine - pics here: http://1000rr.co.uk/pictures-videos/9907.htm
finished braking it in. Really liking this bike. Will now need to wash it today as it got pretty filthy.
Well big day battery back on and after 6 months she started literally wi 1 dab on the starter even the Datatool s4 behaved no probs! as excpected the garage filled wi smoke as the ACF50 all burnt off, gave her a quick wazz over to get rid of all the dust, just gotta wait for a fine day and get her MOT"d an another 1"s back on the road for a summer of fun......Cant wait!
Seriously did you really have to pour salt into my wounds there Dave. 5 months since I last rode and I'm seriously climbing the walls here.
Mate when he says ragged it all day... He means RAGGED IT ALLLLLLLLL DAY! 300 miles, lap of south east.... Lovely job
Bought some Gilles rearsets to replace the yoshimura ones that it came with as the Gilles have more adjustment to them.
removed stock airtubes and tidied up the front end a bit...oh and found that the bolts I thought were for the fairing (r/h side) in fact aren't..so a trip to honda to get some more is now required... I really need to stop doing things when its dark and Im knackered or better still put things away so I can find them again!!
Got out the old 94 'Blade that I recently acquired to give her a good once over, batt charged, put new fuel in, would she start, would she bugger. Not run for over twelve months so looks like plugs out next weekend. Choke and fuel tap, whats that all about???
