Fitted some R&G crash bungs but as I was trying to loosen the side fairing enough To fit the marking pin the dam ram air popped Out.talk about a f@$k up trying to put it in again. Had to lift the tank and open the airbox so I could Put my hand in and guide it in.the designer of this Bike needs shot. Serriously who bolts all the ram Air ducts mounts etc to the side if the fairing. ... Totally retarded idea.
Laughed so much when I saw this as ,I posted exactly same remarks when I had to take the fairings off to fit my hm quick shifter . I think I even swore a bit.....had to walk away for a cuppa or I would of put my fist through fairing.Dumb design
the sun was starting to get lower so I didnt stop for a cuppa, just had to battle on.....really need a beer now.
Glad I got my dealer to fit my Bungs now reading all this! I had enough of a battle with the plastics just fitting the Rad Guard! Still don't thing it's 100% at the very base of the fairing behind the front wheel. Self Tappers will be out next time, that'll SHOW IT!
landed in KL and got the bike ready , loaded it up early this morning and we are heading off now to Sepang for 2 days on track
Fitted carbon exhaust cover, Techspec c3's, and r&g rad guards... . , oh, and fenda extenda, trying to keep salt off..!!
had a great 2 days at Sepang , the new engine ran lovely . should have some good pics over next few days as there was a few people taking pics gave the bike a good clean and changed the oil and filter ready for the next day
Finally got out for a half decent ride, too short but still nice. Bike is so easy to ride and I don't know if it's the bike or the tyres but flicks through corners so nicely Then spent the rest of the day sat in a car getting jealous of all the bikes out
Stripped off the fairing and sorted a few loose ends, velcro taped the alarm up inside the undertray area, fitted Optimate charger plug to charge battery whilst still on the bike, plugged vacuum hose. still a few bits to do.. courtesy of Mr Rudd (thankyou)
Washed my blade took it for a little run to make sure its all running nice after i serviced it and won a pc5 with secondary fuel module and quickshifter off ebay to be installed next week.
Washed, waxed and filled with fuel ready for tomorrow's first Run out with the lads....looking forward to this.
Started the Blade up for the first time since last November; started no problem and ran like a dream. A chance to get out and bed in my new Sportsmarts Quick run through Wirral, stopped off at West Kirby to thaw my hands out and look at the salt dust all over the bike. Bloody good to get out though
Bike looks great mate. Best colours of the best scheme IMO - with pure Racing HRC DNA which is also the fastest. i loaded mine in the van, drove it to work, and now clock watching till home time and i can do one straight up to Donny, have a couple of beers and be nice and fresh for the TD tomorrow.
Thanks Jimbo, it was good to get out yesterday. I'm made up with the new tyres especially having the 50 on the back. Have a good day tomorrow, weather should be good for you.
