2ct's are awesome and my tyre of choice a while back - but cant help think they are old hat and their must be better tyres with more modern technology out there.
try the pure's they tip in far faster and help with direction changes being one of the lightest tyre's on the market.
Colin Edwards managed to get his M1 round Sepang wearing them only 8 seconds slower than he did on slicks I think they'll be good enough for me on my Blade.
i've got another rear to get through on this current lot (bridgestone) then might try them... decent wear rate?
I have em but can't say on wear rate, as I been riding in London traffic- But after one thousand miles, still look brand new, riding in traffic, tho... Feel great though!!
I'd have gone BT023's - awesome tyres, amazing on track (for my ability anyway) and great road range (5k+)
Metzler racete scrubs everytime, they warm up quick and always give warning. Not so good in the wet but I find them awesome on track and on the road. The profile makes turning easier too. K1 front/K2 rear 30psi on road 26psi track. £70 a set offsets the faster wear.
I cant quote wear rates on them as the longest I got from a rear on my 848 was around 900 miles or so.have yet to see how far I get on the blade.
I was on Dunlop's and haven't had any real complaints other than odd wear and cupping. Just purchased a set of Pirelli Rosso 2's. Last set of Pirelli's I had were the Diablo 3's which made my brain melt from the amount of grip!
The 2CT power pures are without a doubt the best tyre i've ever used. Ive done about 2000 miles on them and there is no sign of squaring off and I recon I'll get unto 4000 miles out of a rear. I don't exactly hang around either bearing in mind I used to get about 2000 miles a rear out of the BT014s on my GSXR600K4
My buddy uses the Pure's and I replace his tires every 1500 miles of hard use lol. I KNOW they are mind bending sticky but the wear deters me!
Jeezus, he must be caning them! I use Power Pures, and love them although haven't tried Sportsmarts yet. Did about 5,000 miles on my last set of Pures.
I don't ride softly but thats canning it, you might find it's not that particular tyre thats wearing quickly on his bike just any rubber!
