I've tried the Bridgestone bt014's and 017's and the Pirelli Diablo. Also tried racetecs but still not found any that quite match up for me. I've heard good things about the gp racers but I can never bring myself to spend money on anything else, better the devil you know I say.

Yeah if you are comfy on them. Surprised you didn't like racetecs though, use them in track and love the grip.

Only thing similar you could give a go would be maybe the power pure?

To be fair, I was introduced to them by my boss who uses them in racing, he raced in the 848 challenge which was the support race for the BSB last year and apparently back then the BSB boys were using them, and watching the speed of them guys, I thought they had to be good. I bought a scrubbed set off him a couple of years ago and couldn't believe how much grip they had so have stuck with them since.

On track days I slide the rear tyre and it is NOT nice to be on the limit. Three times I nearly completely lost it. So the more grip I can get the better, so I can get more corner speed.
I'm using DUNLOP Sport Smart and they are brilliant for fast road riding. They give excellent grip plus durability. They are not bad on a track day, but on the Fast group everything counts.
Many people enjoy accelerating on straight line on road riding, which it's a big waste on your tyre (the middle section), or may be because they are slow on bends they accelerate on straight lines to keep up with the fast riders. I used to do it when I first started four years ago.
I want to try DUNLOP D211 or the new one D212 for Track days.

Well I had BT016's on my Blade as standard fit then changed them for BT023's and I will say they are bloody great tyres. I'm no Rossi on the bike but I'm no slouch either and these tyres are doing everything I've asked of them. I know Ron Haslam was running them on his track day bikes until Bridgestone changed them to the T30's.

I've had Pirelli Rosso Super corsas and now I've got Michelin 2CT 3's and they are the dogs, mega grippy in the dry and the wet, they have done a wet track day at Brands and I was staying with the boys on wets and they have been to Croatia and back and there is loads still left on them.

Oh and 55 profile on the rear

The Dunlop things that were on them from new were like wood

Pilot power 3's are FANTASTIC!! Great in the dry, and superb in the wet - the feedback is excellent and when a slide begins you still feel totally in control as it's very progressive. Tried and tested on two track days; one wet, one dry, and they were great. Started getting a little greasy as the temperature probably started getting a tad high in the dry at Donington, but for an all round tire they're highly recommended from me.

Life is great too - 5k out of a rear and still legal

    No worries mate.

I ran 55s on the rear as soon as the standard S20 in 50 profile required changing. Never looked back - the bike feels much more nimble with the 55 and I didn't notice any issues with stability whatsoever. 55 allows more lean angle and a larger patch of rubber in contact with the road at lean too

Anyone got the Dunlop Sportsmarts 2 yet .I am due to change very shortly and had set my mind on the Pr3s but I know some of you were creaming themselves on the Sportsmarts so the upgraded version must be an improvement ..noting Performance bikes freebee preview .

I highly recommend bridgestones s20 Tyres I had bt003rs on my 2005 zx10 and loved them but my local supplier said there wasn't anymore available and recommended the s20 as a replacement . Quick warm up and offer loads of grip

Might give them a go Giv. Had them Sportsmarts on the RRA, but changed for the tour last year as was only getting around 2k from a rear.
