Col, lad I race with was chewing up racetecs (like us all) in a day... Just put k2 rr on for Snet and was cold.... He got open pit lane, test day, 4 sprints and and emdurance out of a rear!!! That's unbeleivable.... Said they offered more grip too!! I'm trying fri / sat so will let you know.
K1 front k2 rear I'm going. Will go k1 rear when it gets warmer.... Kid you not, this is his rear after all that use.
And he ain't scared to push it either lol That's a bst front wheel Was on slicks in Spain when that happened though.
Let me know what u think of the K1 front then as I'll probably head down that route along with the K2 rear. Seems to be what most folks do.
I have been using bt016 pro for a while now but now I'm wanting to do more track days with only a little summer time road riding. I would like something more sticky for the track but also something I can use on the road also wanting to go 55 on the rear rather than 50. Im baffled with the amount of tyres to choose from, since I have got on well with bridgestones I was thinking maybe R10's but these are terrible unless at track temps? So I was looking at supercorsa sc1 and sc2, what are these like on the road? Does anyone use these on road or again are they only good when really hot? Failing that the pirelli DRC seem a good option for on the road but what about on track?
I'm running the Metzler's now and they performed mega over a cold weekend at Cadwell. All Team Army Endurance were massively impressed with them over the Michelins.
I'm not worried how long they last really, I just want good track tyres that will not punish me on the road as they won't get as hot
I would have thought the hotter the better,u won't go wrong with sportsmart 2 ask the peeps will tell u,but if you got plenty of dosh plenty to choose from supa corsas .ntecs ect get some part worn for roads will save u some dosh
Yes they will. But on the road, no interest cause you have to lean more your bike to pass à turn at the same speed. And in short turn like our French Alpes, more physic to ride.
Currently using these and after 200 miles they are impressing me. I ran them in last weekend and after the first 20 miles of boring Mway gave me enough feedback to use all the rear during the next 40 miles of fast twisty welsh roads
Afternoon All, Well, my D211 GPs are not road legal anymore and squared... so I'm after the new set. Surprise, surprise... I'm looking for the tyres which would allow to do the trackday, but be also grippy on the road without the tyre warmers ;-) I was very happy with the last set of D211s, I did couple of trips (in total at least 5,000miles) last year and 2 trackdays. I'll do another long trip this summer, couple of trackdays and hopefully dozens of Sunday blasts ;-) I'm open to suggestions ;-) M7RR? PR4? D211 again? In the end of the day I might buy two sets, a track-focused one (D212?) and fast road/touring (PR4?)...
