I should mention that the above 'hot' pressures are when the tyre warmers have been on for about 45 min or I've had a session and they've been sat back on the warmers for a few minutes.
Incorrect! Rear is 27psi REAR and 32psi Front, all measured HOT. Reason the OEM recommended rear is 42psi is to allow for a Pillion and or Luggage. If riding Solo on the road then it's 36psi all round.
I had D211's on my Blade before my current M7RR. On track they M7RR don't have that all out grip of the D211 but they are very good on track and no probs if your Inters. I loved the D211's but loving the M7RR and they are going to give me about double the miles from the rear for my type of riding. So depends if your doing lots of road miles, touring then go M7RR if more track they go for the track orientate tyre. My next Set will be Supercorsa's as I've yet to try these out. I like to try different tyres and used to be a fan of bridgestone before trying Sportsmarts, then went D211. Now M7RR and doing another direction once this set is dead.
I got on really well with a set of M7RR on track, they last well and cope with a little shower. I then tried supercorsa SP, a whole nother level in the dry, loads more grip than the M7RR until it rained!. Also they don't last as long.
I am using M7rr on the road at the moment, but move to D212gp pro for the track, they work well in warm dry conditions but are a handfull in the wet
Hi guys, Just getting my 13 blade ready for the upcoming season. Need some new tyres for the beast. Ive tried S20's which I love, then went to Diablo Rosso Corsa's which I didn't like (always felt cold to me). So what should I try next? I want grip over life and I do fast road work but this year might do a bit of euro touring. What's my best shot? Grip with a bit of wet weather performance is what I prefer. Thanks
Metz M7rr have a good reviews for grip in dry and rain, I can say that mine do grip well in dry, not been in wet yet, and the bike goes next week, so doubt i will have time to test, as new bike comes with Supercorsa.
Totally agree, think the pr4's pip them though, definitely have more feel in them over the m7rr but the m7rr are dead stable.... Not finished em off yet so can't comment on mileage.... Don't be fooled by looks silky.... I've toured, Sunday ride and gone as fast as I dated on the ring on pr4's no dramas what so ever.... Seen dudes run them on 1000's at sharp end of fast group too. Technology is a wonderful thing
Thanks guys, thats good to know. I do like fast road riding, and partake in a bit of knee down roundabout surfing when the mood takes me Will the PS4s be up for that?
The ps4's are more suited for indoor activities than outdoor ones dude! Now the pr4's there good for all outdoor situations!
Sure they will cope.... Two r1's in the Black Forest Both on pr4's.... The m7rr are awesome two, can't go wrong with either.... M7 look 'stickier' though if that helps
Much of muchness IMO, pr4's more feel, m7's dead stable but seem little 'rigid' but grip great when pushing on. Took a little while to fully trust em fully though....
The main advantage of the M7RR's I feel are the fact they feel more stable when pushing on ... Now I've only used PR3's but when pushing on the bike feels loose which I assume is due to the tread blocks moving a little ... Looking at the PR4's I would assume this is one aspect they have worked on over the PR3's ...
Maybe I've just got used to this, but I like it... Tyres move around a lot on track so maybe that's why I prefer them. Can't disagree with what your saying though
