I've got my fingers crossed for Tirana.

We could have the makings of our very own Karl Pilkington here.

Completley cocked up on the weather this morning it was frosty 1st thing so i made the decision to go to Oulton Park in the Van only to find a few miles down the road that all was clear and the sun was shining .Had a good look around Brooks and Hill seem to be flying and Haga appears to not have a good set up .Got home had a coffee with a work mate that called ,had an hour on the bike ,watched the FA cup final, having a glass of red whilst on here. Meeting up with Megawatts Sunday for a ride into Wales so lifes not to shabby .

All day today, and yesterday I got all the bitchs' stuff, every last item, and chucked it all in the spare bedroom. Then I have cleaned the whole house top to bottom. And I mean everything been scrubbed, washed, vaccuumed, polished..... I've basically scrubbed every morsel of the bitch from the house.
Right, off for a shower n shave, my new girlfriend is picking me up in the soft top CLK and taking me for dinner. Life can be tough at the bottom.;) :D

I do, not sure on lifespan yet but grip/confidence is outstanding. Only dry use so far though.

New girlfriend with her own car, has she got her own teeth as well? I didn’t think they let you drive with cataract’s? I noticed the was no mention of you changing the quilt though Blaggs, hope your not intending on dragging the poor girl into that stinking pit.

First ride in the dry with the baffle out and new map.The progression from standard to now has been very noticeable. The baffle out and new map have increased the bhp and more importantly perhaps, the torque. The power delivery is absolutely faultless at any speed and any revs. It pulls so smoothly and yet very powerfully.

For the first time since I have had the bike I now have to be more careful with the right hand. Firing out of bends is now more like it used to be on the Ducati and I have to be a bit more conscious of the drive. The extra noise from the exhaust and air intake is beautiful, but quite loud. may unfortunately draw some unwelcome attention, but what the hell :)

The Rizoma rearsets were also fitted on Thursday, they are set a little higher than stock and a bit further back, so my knees are up higher. After a few miles I realised it was perhaps not so comfortable but it was a good improvement in terms of a sportier riding position and it felt a more controlled position. It feels a bit more like a sports bike, being a little more lean't forward. The pegs are fixed, quite short but very nice grip.

I used to hit a few nuetrals on the stock rearsets, but didn't have one today, very positive and smooth shifting and a nice gap between peg and toe which I like. They look great as well which is a bonus, performance and looks, just the ticket.

Roads were busy and I managed to avoid two twats who pulled out on me at the last minute and a deer, which I passed at a very sedate pace :)

Great to have the bike all fixed now and improved. Still unsure about the front forks though. The new springs, weight matched oil and set up made a vast difference but I still feel the front moving in ways that tell me I am either at their limit or close to it. I will give it a while longer to assess and gain more experience of her but I think my view that it is the weakest part of the bike now is unlikely to change. I may have to make the next priority the front forks instead of the brakes, not that the brakes are an issue for road use.

Really pleased with the bike, have spent too much but then that's normal, but it has definately been worth it.

Finally managed a run out on the bike today to scrub in the Sportsmarts.

After last years little mishap after getting tyres fitted, I was a little nervous at first and the was hoping the weather would hold up enough for a descent run in.

I've got to say that even after only maybe 15 miles, the Sportsmarts really were fantastic and I was confident enough to push on a little. So grippy and I could actually feel the bike dig into the corners. Also the rear seems to be a little higher than the last tyres I had on the bike, and it tipped in so much easier. Hopefully they'll last :)

Jeanette out to the hairdressers first thing, so a glorious lie in in total silence. Up and very slow, strong coffee while watching the rugby, then into the leathers and down the road a bit to SP for some chain cleaner and lube, carefully trying to scrub off the remnants of last weeks little mishap on the rear tyre. Felt good, felt really good. Started moving my lardy arse around the saddle and creaking the knees away from the tank. Shall I go straight home?

    Shall if uck. Dartmoor beckons.

Pulled on my helmet outside SP, pulled on my gloves and............rain. Big, fat, lumpy drops. Shit, feck, bollocks, fart and a bear's arse.

Head for home, squirting only in a straight line and only when both wheels were pointing the same way.

The ride out was good though. Shame it was only 3 sodding miles.
