Ha, I had this done to me also ken, 'twas about 20 years ago I was showing my son how to do a wheelie on a push bike and snapped my tib and fib and like you say when they twist it and hold until it sets , wow it's painful. Bloody arthritis setting in now too. Lol
Me too mate. Bunny hopping my mountain bike across tyre tracks on the canal tow path. Bike went right, I fell left. Couldn't get my foot out of the right hand alligator clip and Pop! Six inch long spiral fracture of the right fib, ligaments pulled out of their anchors in the foot arch, the works. The consultant at the fracture clinic made them, against their argument, put it in a full cast rather than a sprung one. The consequence was that in a fortnight, the swelling had gone down and the ankle rotated into the break into the wrong shape and it had to be reset. I have a slight limp now as I get tired, more an imbalance in my walking rhythm really. And, oddly, I have trouble walking up stairs while facing square to them. Otherwise, my only bother from it is the callus from the break in the bone rubs against my boot. The worst injury I've done myself was on a bike while stationary.
been bottoming out the suspension on the new track really bad , so out it came this more , getting re sprung and re valved tomorrow ill have it back on wednesday 480 quid all in
We left really early this morning. Chilled out with a long relaxing read of the papers and MCN over breakfast in France, ten hours after leaving home having covered about 350 miles we were back in the third world with 117 litres of nice wine including to some Chateauneuf du pape white…….yes, white we had it at Christmas in Le Touquet and its really really nice, eight cases of beer, bread sticks, stinking cheese, pate and garlic all the usual stuff. No prizes guessing what we are having for dinner this evening but you can bet we will smell horrible and have hangovers in the morning.
Dropped off my old ASV levers to be powder coated black, and while at it got the guy to change the tyres for the Blackbird. Then went out to the man cave and fitted the wheels back on the Blackbird, and fitted a new cam chain tensioner as it was getting a bit noisy, fired the old girl up and it sounds sweet as. Job done. Then set the sag on the SP1 roughly as it was cold and the settings will change when it warms up a bit, I'll ride the bike like this for a few hundred miles to get the feel for the bike before sending the forks away to Gareth at Reative Suspension to get the compression and rebound valves fitted along with a service and spring to suit my weight. I also cleaned the chain, which I hate doing.
SORN my Bike & Car from the end of the month I'll hopefully get a track day in, in July when I'm home for two weeks but apart from that I'm not going to see it for 6 months. Anyone want a Black 02 plate Mondeo 2ltr Auto, £700?
