After having them sitting in the garage for three weeks I finally plucked up the nerve to drill the fairings and fit some r&g bungs. Fairings off, no problems, cleaned under there while I had the opportunity, nothing major just some big bugs and dust. Get to the point in the instructions where it says mark the bolt with paint and offer up the fairings to mark the drill point and realise that after my last massive garage cleanup I had precisely no paint at all of any sort in the garage. Tried it with a black felt marker but that wouldn't show up on the plastics, tried the blu tac trick but it only stuck to the bolt not to the fairing. Got a proper b#%^king from the missus once I'd solved the problem and fitted the bungs. Who knew nail polish could be so flipping expensive.
Fitted the rear pillion peg adapters today, pretty straight forward job, anybody bit nervous about doing it don't be, it really is easy.
Bike picked up from service, new hoops fitted oil changed Got it home Swapped the K&N for the original/new paper filter, fitted the renntec, fitted the power connector for charging phone etc, changed the number plate Thrown a bit of polish on it. Checked the nuts with torque wrench, checked again, and I'm sure my attention to detail will make me check it all over again, "several times" or OCD as my therapist calls it
Not back at work until 2nd Sept so thought I'd go to Hawes for a spin on the bike. The only two other bikes here are from the same estate I live on.......jeez you can't go anywhere nowadays lol
Received a Kreiga US10 for £40 today from Kriega US-10 Drybag | eBay I now have somewhere to put my shoes Sits nicely on top of my US30, so Muffking's tower of terror is definitely gone, but not forgotten.
I wouldn't let it bother you guys. I hear ShinySideUp and ColinBR are day off. It could be either of them
Well today I ride to Bristol and got my suspension sorted at JHS racing then met up with a mate and went to Weston bike night followed by a ride back through Cheddar Gorge! An awesome day off
Went to see an old mate who lives in Broughton right on the Northwales border .He has a blinged up R1 so we headed to the Ponderosa for a brew and then on to Bala and went over the tops and ended up in Betswy coad for an ice cream Traffic not too bad so have a decent run
