Took the bike for its MOT today and then went for a spin up towards the Cairngorms. I felt rusty as fook, but that soon settled after maybe 30 minutes (it was Baltic) It also highlighted on just how good the new brakes are. I'm really impressed with the Brembo's. The other thing I noticed though is that the suspension needs some tweaking to get it dialled in, with taking off some compression and adding a little rebound we should be there or abouts. Just need the temps to go up a few degrees up here, and I can see me doing some decent mileage this year.
Set off for a ride, planned on heading up towards the Lakes, about 3 miles into journey and my gear box starts playing up so i turned around and went home, starting to lose interest now
Non bike, but took a day trip to Geneva and went to the motor show. Very good show and cheap as chips at £10 entry.
Spent the morning watching some first episodes of THE WOODEN TOPS, SARAH BROWN & HOPPITY, TORCHY, TWIZZLE & FOOTSO, FOUR FEATHER FALLS, SPACE PATROL and SUPERCAR finished off with some ROY CHUBBY BROWN. Some of it from before I was born.
150 miles from Bristol into south wales, brecon and home in time to watch England whoop Italy in the 6 nations.
1. Sat on the floor and removed all those nasty safety stickers from my swing arm 2. Took off Dobles Stickers 3. Added Datatag Stickers 4. Dialed in Sinewaves Suspension settings for 2012 Blade 5. Went for small ride and came back grinning like an idiot...Bloody good settings for me. 6. Sat on floor again and randomly removed bolts grease with ally grease and replaced lol
Managed another short run today of around 80 miles, testing out some more suspension settings for the front. I'm nearly there, in that I have the front end better at speed, but then it is a little out on the slow down, compared to the standard suspension. I reckon another few trips out should see me with the feel that I'm looking for. 1 thing I did notice though is that with the internals done, you can feel the changes getting made click by click. Oh and I should also add that the Brembos are now bedding in nicely. By far and away the best braking I have ever experienced.
took the kit car out for the first run of 2014. Over to wales, and did about 170 miles., not had to fill up due to my new tank. was great fun but sodding cold. and bloody bikers had 2 over take me (no probs I made room for them), but they really don't like getting overtaken safely by any car do they? had to pass 4-5 motorcross bikers and they really go pissy me over taking them on a long straight. they was only doing about 40
I have no issues over taking them. I did but the hand waving as I passed was a bit much lol and that was not from me
Spent the morning at Brands Race School sampling the Supercar Experience in an Audi R8, last years Farther's Day present, plus passenger blast in a V8 Touring Car. An enjoyable morning.
Spent 3 hours cleaning tbe car.......so it can spend the next 2 weeks at an airport car park whilst I am working
I took the kit car out for a run upt to Gloucester then across to Chipping Norton then down to Castle combe then home. Around 120 miles and the reason or going out was to try out the new screen. compared to my areo screen it was amazing the difference. the buffeting hits the side and back of your head and no full pelt in your face. A little rain was find and did not hit my face and the lack of wipers was not a issue after using this Wolf's Chemicals - Nano Glass Sealant (150ml) - Engine and Exterior - Clean Your Car
