Yes SW, I remember your post. The OE hugger does have loads of clearance and I have considered 'letting-in' a couple of formed aluminium scallops but I think my added apertures match the two already there quite well. BTW, thanks for the 'back-handed' compliment ('butchered' indeed!) mate. My first re-action when I saw the damage was to bin the thing, so this is, really, a work-in-progress/damage limitation exercise. I like a hugger more for it's 'looks' than any (questionable) weather protection it may afford but I'm not going to spend another £250.00 just for the same thing to happen again. Watch this space? Cheapest option is to bump up the preload 3 notches and it will just 'Kiss' the Hugger on the biggest bumps. Pillions are a No No though.
I tried demon tweeks and its webwite says not available for the 2012-13 model? Did you have to ring them? How many £ did you have to splash out? Otherwise I am after a genuine honda black one if anyone's got one to spare?
