Cracking job the two of you have done there, Rich. The transformation is incredible. As the owner of a chunky garden I truly appreciate the effort you've put in.

Only downside is you have to keep on top of it now. Lol! This is the first weekend since the long one that I haven't been painting fences, sheds, pergolas, arches and benches.

I've not finished, I've just taken the weekend off.

    Kudos though buddy.

Cheers, Ken. I will do too. I'm not letting it slide back to how it was. One of the main reasons for the new lawn was that I actually enjoy tending lawns and hate weeding borders. My soil is that black loam stuff that succeeds in germinating every single thing that lands on it. Almost all the borders are now covered with grass and it's staying that way.

I'm actually looking forward to reglazing the greenhouse and getting some tomatoes, chillis and some herbs on the go. Must be getting old

From a personal point there's two things missing from the photos.
Cemex wagon and 20m2 of concrete ;)

I know that soil. We have it in the centre of the city. It's so fertile the dead rise in the cemetery. I'm not far off from that on the estuary. Being a flood plain we've ended up with all the good stuff they put on the land on Exmoor.

Of course, one good thunderstorm and my lawn could end up as Dawlish beach, so it's all cyclic.

    :D

Funnily I was actually thinking that my garden looked like a scene from The Walking Dead when I was clearing it.

Someone photographed the towns good side...
Should see it on a clear day o_O

I think you must have sub-consciously inspired me Rich..
I did a bit of garden tidying myself...kind of..
Moved the rusty gazebo sections, that I got from my neighbour a year ago when he was throwing it out for scrap, from being stood against the fence to on top of the shed roof.
Had to be most careful though as they were crumbling away as I picked them up,
I guess I'm hoping that by being more accessible to the sun and rain the steel might regrow...

Just don't get too caught up, Tom. It's addictive. I've just been out measuring the greenhouse for new polycarbonate panels :D

    What's wrong with me?? o_O

I'm getting concerned myself now, it's true. At first I thought it was all just a front for you to bury your victims, but now I'm not so sure...
