Had a couple of 600Fs and seemed a natural progression, that and I got it for a steal.

Had a few CBR600s, 3 VFRs, a blackbird, A VTR1000, thought I would try a blade when they were selling out the '11 model HRC with lots of Honda extras thrown in free at a steal price, loved the look of it and its the best bike I've ever had. I'm 64 YO by the way.
Should have got one 10 years ago (but I might be dead LOL)

I didnt want to get a blade to be honest. After riding a 600rr for the last few years was desperately trying not to get tied to one brand. I had my heart set on a ducatti, but after looking at a few I decided it would be a mistake. I test rode all the bikes in the litre class but when I saw the white anniversary blade I new I had to have one... I like the fact it has no electronics. I'm very pleased with it so far...

I decided I wanted a bike I could keep, modify, be satisfied with and that would be reliable and durable and still look good in 10 years time. I have had quite a few bikes over the last 40 years, including a 954. It was the experience with the 954 that made my decision quite easy. I like underseat exhausts so it had to be an 06 or 07.

Although some of the other bikes might have met a lot of my criterias, none met them all like the Blade does.

Because it was cheaper than an R1 and a ZX-10R......I'm glad it was. I love it.

First one was a 3 month old 929, a mate on the IOM phoned and said a mate was trying to sell it and could not, did I know anyone who wanted one, deal was cut in under 5 mins, 3K hard IOM miles for 4K, put 90K on it in 3 years, really just a slightly bigger more powerful 600, followed by a 954, again crunched many miles, then an RR6, another high miler till it was nicked last year and now a RA-A. I think that of all the so called superbikes, the Blade is the easiest to live with when you ride daily 12 months a year, without doubt this current model range are the easiest to ride of all the Blades so far.

Always thought the FireBlade is an Iconic bike and it continues to be so. For me, the Honda badge and the word "Fireblade" on the side does it for me every time
