Being a gamer, the studios need to pull their finger out and make Halo, or even Gears of Wars

Shanks, you're the only one tall enough to be old copper corsets.

A mate of mine works in an auction house and pitched up at work one day with a bundle, tied up with string with Eagle Annuals 2/3/4/5/6 and 7 in it. Plonked it on my desk and said 'These didn't make the reserve, so I gave the bloke a fiver for them'. I gave him a tenner and told him to keep the change.

Another time he came in and said 'You might like this' and dropped an original 'Origin of the Silver Surfer' on my desk.

    Life is good...

A new John Wayne film..... I know he`s dead and that could be a bit of a problem... But i'm sure Steven Spielberg could sort it if he tried....

Not massively into comics, shipmate. But the SS works for me. And Dan Dare...mainlining nostalgia. Epic!

A better film about the likes of chuck yeager or the apollo crews and what
They had to go through, yes I know about apollo 13 but there is loads
Of stories that that remain mostly untold.

Read Yeager's autobiography Ciarán. Most film producers would read some of the shit he's done and claim it was too unbelievable to make.

TV movies aside I'm always amazed nobody's had a proper go at Apollo 11. In my opinion the greatest achievement the human race has yet accomplished and Hollywood's just dicked around with it a few times. Go figure.

yeah I havent read it yet but clocked up hours and hours online and on
discovery science watching stuff on this original hero.
the stuff he done is unreal, and he's so humble about what risks he took.

No idea who you two are on about. So let's get back on track.

    Films about

    Commodore Anson's circumnavigation

    L General John Moore

All the Patrick o'brian Maturin/Aubrey books. Properly. And not with Crowe!

Got Azincourt Waterstone's edition for £2.99, Ken. It's going to be a long night! Well excited.

A film about the origins of the SAS, screaming around the desert in Land Rovers with moody beards. W Thesiger was one of them.

I like any film that's shot in London. By the Power of Greyskull I love this town!

Think I draw the line at the FatF XIII or whatever number they're on.

You should read about Brigadier Yeager, Alex. He's your kind of hero. Shot down five Germans on one mission, got shot down and fought with the Maquis before he got repatriated and once made Neil Armstrong walk home after he got their plane stuck in the mud. A proper stick and rudder guy.
