If there is any pipe I would put on a blade....it's a yoshimura R77 with no dout. Personally best sounding and looking one on the market.
I had a Arrow which sounded very good. Upgraded to a Carbon street legal Akrapovic. sounded the same at med/high revs, but on the down shift - wow it just growls!! love it. It also gives me another 2.5bhp I buy any new parts from www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk I'm not sure if they have been previously mentioned in this thread? But they are good on price and also do instant credit, if you want to spread the payments.
Hey guys, sorry if repeated from another thread. I've recently had a road legal akrapovic slip on fitted to my new 2014 abs blade, the one with the cat and valve. I think it definitely needs a map, it has lost most of its midrange. It rides like a 600 now, I can go wide open throttle in 1st or 2nd and it barely accelerates. Putting the baffle in, made it a little better, but not as much much torque as the standard exhaust still. Anyone got any thoughts? The servo appears to turn clockwise so that looks correct.
Hi Gothy, I have a Termigoni with cat and valve and it has slightly increased the power. Did you mark the rest position of the servo wheel before you disconnected the cable. The servo wheel should be at rest position before you thread the new cable which on my Termi has the valve fully open
I didn't fit it, the dealer did on it's first service. Looking at the instructions that came with the Akrapovic, they say turn the servo clockwise to loosen the cable, then when reconnecting the new one, ensure it is back in the rest position. It appears to be right per the photograph. Would you mind terribly, taking a photo of your servo motor position? Cheers
I'm thinking of going for one of these on my '08. I've been through 17 pages of this thread, and now I'm losing the will to live. Will I need a PC with this exhaust, using standard air filter?? Not so bothered if the bike is losing a tiny bit of bhp.
Hi Southgate, I fitted one of these on my 08 blade, it runs just fine without any other alterations , i would recommend one for sure mate.
Could anyone give me feedback on this situation? Bike currently has a Akrapovic Race Full Exhaust but I'm not a huge fan of the Akra can and want to chuck a Racefit Black edition on the end, will that work with the front Akra pipes?
Does the full Akra system split in two where the original Honda headers would have split with the original Honda can? If so (and you have the Honda can to hand), see if the original fits on to the Akra headers. If it does, you're in business with the RaceFit. If not, speak to them as they might be able to do some sort of custom job for you. Shame you're down under as I'm now looking for an Akrapovic for my bike after fitting my new RaceFit black edition to mine!
You either need to have a new collector made or new link pipe for the Racefit made, I'm in the same boat as got my racefit on standard headers but will be putting a set of akra titanium headers on so want the racefit to fit them, it's a days work at racefit as they need to measure up etc
I did have the leo vince gp on mine sounded nice, no loss of power but wanted loud so went with the racefit black edition, got the pc5 and sfm to install to regain any power drop not that it notices, not a great picture of the leo tho
Leo Vince on mine. Smells quite rich at mo (baffle out if that makes a difference). PC3 coming soon...
