I chose Racefit purely because of its looks. I favour the megaphone style, but am now also impressed with the Arrow megaphone. Cost isn't necessarily a factor, but RFacefit does offer good value and unbeatable (in my opinion) customer service.
I looked at quite a few when I was looking for mine, the main reason I chose the racefit was down to finances. Got it 0% tik!
I had SC projects race can on my previous 2015 blade. No option for DB killer but what a great sound. This time around I wanted something that I have never had before so went with Race Fit. No regrets at all. I love the fact that it’s tiny
I like racefit, so much so I bought a Growler 2 which was on my last blade. I would consider another one but they don't do the Growler 2 for the 2018 and I prefer the megaphone Moto gp look. This was the reason I came across the Arrow Pro Race that Nigel seems to have also taken a fancy too........I saw it first remember haha The only thing that puts me off getting another Racefit is the fact that they don't seem to be used in any class of racing.....or certainly world class racing. Not that I'll be using it for racing but my way of thinking is.......I want what the race teams Have! This leads me to believe they're more of a fashion accessorie......either that or they just haven't managed to break into the racing scene dominated by the likes of Termi, Akra, Arrow and SC project? Anyway I'm off to buy that Arrow Pro before @nigelrb snaffles one right from under my nose.......ah the drawbacks of being a trendsetter!
Nice one! Might have to look into an SC projects again For the next bike. They’re like MotoGP LOUD. Which if I’m honest, I kinda like. Not saying that my Race Fit is quiet
Not for a new blade - mines a '15 plate; but I'm weighing up swapping the racefit for the SC Projects CRT carbon!? ...I'm taking my lead and inspiration on this from @Blade runner 1 It looks so sweet.
SC Projects CRT Carbon is what I like the most. Personally, I like the carbon can more than titanium.
Thanks for answers! There are those who had or touched both exhaust? Where is the quality of titanium and seams higher?
Having owned both and currently running a Race Fit, I would argue that the SC projects and the RF are both high quality but I think for me personally the SC projects can itself has a better finish. The issue with the RF carbon can is that the stickers can start to peel a little. I didn’t have this issue with the SC can. However, that’s mostly down to me trying to polish carbon . Both are equally desirable but SC projects seem to have more R&D behind them straight from MotoGP which may also prove handy in terms of resale value should you decide to sell later. Good luck with your choice.
Couple of pics for comparison. The SC is on my 2015 blade and the RF is on the current one. Zoom in and take a look at the welding and the can itself. Here’s a video if it as well
Thanks Paul Funny you mention that. I’ve just ordered it. I just wrote another post on that. I was searching for your post as there was a great video on the fitting.
I've ordered the SC Carbon CRT Will be swapping over from the Racefit when it (eventually) arrives...email from sales said it take 10/15 working days from day of order to day of dispatch.
