Ditto - That's "same here" for all those people who don't know what "ditto" is...lol

Perhaps it would have been easier to type " same here"

if fully synth are causing problems with blades I would say there is something wrong
with them as a lot of bikes state on their owners manual to use fully synth.the whole
clutch slip myth was formed when people put fully synth car oil into their bikes which
is the total wrong grade.on another totally different note I invalidate my car
warranty if I put semi synth into it lol.

jeez my head is shredded after reading this and i'm still none the wiser  I am currently running Castrol 1 10w 30 semi synth and I have noticed the gearbox is a lot more clunky than it ever was before, so what next ? 10w 40 semi synth or something entirely different ?

After lots of vibration and clunky gearbox in summer months I changed to 20w 40. Much better and runs cooler. Slightly. Anyone else experienced the vibration effect? It was definitely the oil as I changed chain, checked alignment, sprocket change, removed sprocket play, and nothing worked. Oil change ( only done 900 miles since last oil change) cured it instantly. Unless the last honda dealer used chip fat strained through a pair of old tights?? Could happen?

I'm using Motul at the minute but I'm not to sure I like it!! The garage put it in my bike when I took it for a service, I use a Honda filter as well.

Next service I will be going back to Castrol I think?????

Just put a thicker oil in unless you know that the oil is good already. It cured my vibration instantly. Oil was piss weak. Like water. Seems to have just broken down the properties too quickly or like I say the Honda dealer was using chip fat. It's a cheap solution to get rid of what may be causing your issues. 20 40 is still recommended in blade.

Can't go wrong with castrol I'd say.

I don't rate Castrol at all! It's only recommended due to sponsorship deal it's not the best oil out there! I found it caused vibration and poor gear change!
I've always used Silkolene Pro4 fully synthetic and thot I'd try Castrol but now back to Silkolene it more expensive but definitely the best I've tried the bike's way smoother and gear change is slick :)

10w30 is what I use! But 10w40 won't do any harm.

Best deal I could find for Silkolene Pro 4 Energy 10W-30 Synthetic Oil

Used to get white crap on the filler cap on my BMW F800 and was worried about a gasket issue.
My specialist mech told me the oil used by Motorrad (no idea) may be giving off slight condensation (hence the white film) and that he uses Silkolene that will never do this and he considers to be the best.
Experience was much better all round after being serviced with this stuff.
