Happiness is getting old and grey and so your mam can't bear to tell you off anymore for catching you on the sofas
Totally bat shit crazy mind and think they are that way as a breed. I'm glad he isn't mine as hes bloody hard work. Been looking after him for a couple weeks with the parents being on holiday. Was glad to leave him and come home
Someone had a minature one identical colour to Wally a few weeks ago in Matlock....she was just melting everyone's hearts....but the guy with her said exactly the same....completely bonkers, does her own thing but love bombs anyone who sits on their sofa
We bought “towel coats” for the dogs with all the rain now....they’re not really that happy with the coats, my missus had doggy biscuits in her hand so she could get them to look at the phone
View attachment 66158 View attachment 66159 View attachment 66160 About 3 years ago when we lost our 2 dogs that we’d had since pups at 9 and 11 years old, me and the missus started volunteering at a local dog rescue. The inevitable happened and we’ve since adopted two dogs. Phoebe came first, about 2 and a half years ago, she’s a Rottie/Staffy. Bailey arrived 4 months later, he’s a Rottie. We think they’re aged 4 & 7 but their backgrounds are sketchy so it’s best guesses really. For a few months last year we ended up with a third. Gemma was my wife’s nans dog, who died at home and wasn’t found for 2 days. Traumatised dog was in the house with her the whole time and then no one in the family wanted her and there was talk of her being put to sleep. No feckin way that was happening so she joined our clan. She was 14 and only lasted a further 6 months. I like to think she enjoyed her last few months with us but she eventually decided the time was right to be reunited with her true owner, so we had to let her go.
Good for you....there's something about bringing happiness and love into a rescue dog life that you don't get from anything else... Laughing at the bottom pic...
Meet Inca. We hadn't planned to get a dog for a while yet but GWP Rescue posted that unless she was taken within 2 weeks then she would be put down as she was in Police Kennels with a Court Order that is basically a suspended death sentence due to some dopey bint who couldn't control her dogs and then got in the middle of a fight. Inca's owner sadly died whilst she was in the Kennels and his family weren't able to take her So anyway we have taken her with an understanding that if we don't all get on then she will be found another home. Taking for walks will be fun as she has to be muzzled and always on a lead no longer than 1.5m as she doesn't react well to some dogs, and so we have also got her a coat saying to keep dogs away, and a tabbard for us with the same message. Hopefully people take the hint and as I have been walking everyday since the start of the original lockdown I know the best time/places to go where the are no or very few other dogs. So far she is absolutely fantastic, albeit a strong puller on the lead and has no concept of walking to heel, but we'll get there.
One of my German Shepard’s hated other animals, didn’t matter what it was, Got him a German training collar, that didn’t work he broke it, broke two choke chains, had to sit on him when idiots let their dogs come up to him even when told “ he doesn’t like other dogs”, “he’ll be aright” then he would go and they would eat their words and soon disappear Best dog I ever had
She is settling in nicely so far, well apart from the separation anxiety that has me or the missus sleeping downstairs each night, albeit at least now in a different room Today's walk showed she was not interested in the Red Arrows.
Took her to a fenced off field today so she could have a run around off the lead and without her muzzle on. She absolutely loved it
One of our two ruptured his ACL...we got him referred to Fitzpatrick’s (the Supervet show) Just had his 6week checkup and all is going well. He’s having hydrotherapy, basically strolling along on a treadmill in a box full of water, being a true water baby he loves every second of it.
Daft lad here's been beasted by a little girl dog who took exception to his bottom sniffing..... I might rename him Bazza
