Have a look at www.britishsuperbikeschool.co.uk if you want to go on track but you are a bit nervous about it . Its a whole day with only a small number of riders on track at a time, and you are with an instructor all day. I did it last year and am doing all 6 dates this year.
A first time track day should be a great experience......you say you don't want to wreck bike....? it ll be you who decides how the day ends...........but if common sense prevails as I'm sure it will..........you'll end up having a great time and you will soon be bitten by the bug...........in which getting track fairings and a new trailer will become a reality even if you do end up joining the hundreds of other pussys out there............ me included !!
The best thing about a trailer is you can take different tyres with you to suit the weather. It's good, and if you are doing lots of day then it's worth it. If you don't want to take your own bike, you can hire one for about £200
Thanks guys. I've heard it isn't always your fault if some one rams into you. My local is snetterton, anyone had experience there?
Ron Haslam race school was my first track experience and could recommend that, you use their bikes etc It really improved my riding
