I like to think of myself as the old bull, when, after the new, younger and virile bull arrives on the farm and suggests to him that they charge across the field and take a couple of the cows congregated on the other side, responds that, perhaps, they should stroll across and take all of them.
It was 2006 for me with one minor. Had my first bike at 4 years old (pw50) went through lots of moto x ers and got a RX50 aprilia asmky first road bike. Never forget passing my full test and the buzz you get riding a proper sports bike for the first time. My first bike after my full test was a ninja 6 - then I got the R1 and now the blade.
1995 for me, took 3 goes as well. second attempt i binned it on black ice on way to test centre, omly to find there were all cancelled. had been riding for years illegally on and off though, not big or clever.wish i,d done it in the 70s when i used to jump on my mates 250. too many other distractions when your young though.
August 2004 for me and passed my car test 2 weeks ago tomorrow. Cars are more dangerous than bikes though, in the space of 2 weeks I've had 3 'near crashes'. Might just stick to the bikes.
mine was 1995(was 17)....on a nrs125rk Thought I was joey dunlop on that wee bike, lost count how many clutches I burnt out and rebores I had done lol
24th October 1986, which just happens to be my Dads birthday and my eldest daughter birthday who was born some 5 years later.
June 1982 on a C70 as my new CD200 would not start, did the whole test in second gear as I was told it was auto. Passed.
I passed my car test on 29th August 1980, and went camping with my mates the same night in Wales in the car.
