Blimey, those drivers up norf are reet basstads Hope it all works out for her, shame about the bike but (and I fucking hate this phrase) the bike is replaceable she ain’t.
Went to see my Mum in the Isle of Wight and stopped at the traditional photo spot along the Military Road overlooking Freshwater Bay - sorry if the picture is more bike than scenery !
Well I did my trip to Wales and Yorkshire and Back 1700 miles done 7 days, but sadly did it on the ZZR, SP2 was already to go Kreiga all loaded up, but 5o'clock in the morning it was pissing down so unpacked and packed the givis on the ZZR. Rained all the way to Wales on the Saturday and heavy showers on Sunday, but the rest of the week glorious sunshine. Some great road in Wales, but Cat an Fiddle, Horseshoe and Snake Pass av speed cam WTF and horrendous traffic. Sadly we all agreed should have stayed in Wales.. But hopefully next year back to Spain .
No average speed cameras on the Snake. The ones on the Cat don’t work but they do keep away the racers that used to pervade the road. Best of both worlds
Do you know for cert they dont work? Traffic was bad on the Snake. as pretty much all areas around there.
Yup. I’ve been over there enough times. If you look at the mid placed one between the pub and Mac, the cables aren’t even connected. Snake is always busy at weekends. Early morning or midweek are the times to go.
Bunked off early as the weathers gone decent today. Took the bike over Bolton way round the back of Rivington, over the top to Belmont, stopped for a brew and a chat then looped back Chorley way, across to Eccleston, Standish and then home.
Had a cross country run up to Settle, across to Devils Bridge and then back to Wigan before it got dark. My pillion wanted a photo on the bike to show off the leathers and boots to her mates. Reckon I’ll have to keep an eye on my keys ….. she looks to enjoy that front seat.
Unbelievable Jeff, bit of a bimble is all I could muster around the roads of Cornwall, too many fcukin holiday makers down here I'm know upto 866 miles !
