Much salt on the roads?

 

The gritters have been out but its all at the side of the roads in the gutters, plus its bone dry so not really an issue!

 

Hoping that's the last of the gritting. Should get some rain next week to rinse it off.

 

bloody cold with snow showers here today
went for a 12 Mile hike in more hail/snow showers yesterday, we seem to be slipping back into Winter

Gritters out down South too, I reckon they must be using up surplus stock on some roundabouts it's about 2" deep on the kerbs

 

First stop was to meet my mate at Garstang toilets ,,,,, who didn't turn up but called me to say he Had some sort of RED problem ,,,,,,,,, I think his leathers were to tight and couldn't find his bum bag ,,,,,,,, anyway I left with tears of laughter in my eyes for the run I'd planned


So off to the Bridge , talk shite with others dressed in tight leathers ,,,,,,,then up to Hawes for a brew on my own,,,,,,,,, yes @Lozzy I know what its like to be let down now


Then off to Settle because its a great bit of road and stunning views


The from Settle back along the same road (because its so good ) to Glasson Dock ,,,,,,, as it was my turn to buy the brews I thought I'd buy the bacon baps aswell, ,,,,,,,, cheap round @PauloHRC

Next stop home to find out Mrs selmer50mark had cleaned all the old loft insulation out ready for the new ,,,,,,,, what a brilliant day

For all those wondering why Mark was on his lonesome today.......well I got all my gear on, wheeled the bike out the garage, put my helmet on like you do then as always start her up and let it run while I put my gloves on!! Would she start? Would she feck!!!

Absolutely gutted as this was first proper ride out of the season......well actually that was last week but Mark had a nose bleed and his bike got dirty from the wet roads but we don't talk about that do we Mark!!

Any way need to test the battery and possibly get an new one!!

And @Lozzy you can piss off in advance!!

 

It WILL happen she just getting a bit slow in her twilight years

from what I’ve read,the standard battery’s aren’t that great if not used that much,even if on a trickle charger
