    Further south than what?
I think everyone had the idea to get out before the oven-like conditions hit. I was rewiring my motorcycle trailer at 8am because my new concrete patch for the carport (wife thinks its a carport, its really gonna be a multi-bike port :D) is red hot during the day.

I started out early too thinking I’d get some well earned miles in before it got uncomfortable but after a couple of hours here in the Suffolkhara desert I gave up. Took about as long again to peel the sweaty leathers off. Should have worn that slippery one piece under them which I got from RST for the purpose. (and you lot can stfu about the purposes of slippery one piece undersuits):p

I bought a Richa one from SBS, 90 quid. It's a bit too big and it seems to make me hotter than I was without it  but I guess that's just in my head.

Yeah. Not sure they cool at all, they just wick away the moisture (that's polite Suffolk speak for sweat) but for general riding I find it a lot better than T shirts etc.

I spent my day at the Heritage Sprint, mid way between Sandwich and Deal, a now seemingly annual event. Plenty of static displays and 1/8th. mile action. Came to my attention I have owned my current Blade for 2 years now and only covered 2,000 miles, poor show.

    Further south than normal :p:D

Further south of Lincolnshire, normally I stick to Horncastle and above for my usual weekend brain cobweb clearance.

I don't know The North at all, but the fact that a lot of the fast riders come from up there, I think it's there's something in it. Gotta visit :D

I think I'm exempt. My grandparents were from Newcastle, great grandparents were Scots. So I get a free ticket :D

Set off at 5.30 this morning for a cool ride

    Screenshot_2022-08-14-19-38-50-1.png

Not many out at that time
Loads of pigeons on the roads , got dangerous at speed lots of flies too,.didn't get much further than the bridge, found a screw in the rear tyre so steady home then removed it , luckily it had gone in on an angle and not into the carcass.

Went back out again because it was still early ;) but on the way home I noticed the horn looked lose down by the forks , the bracket had snapped so I made one

Just done a lap of the IOM. Fairly steady over the mountain as it’s been 3 years since I was last here and struggle to remember which way it goes. Also had a new tyre fitted this morning so gently does it.

Hopefully get a fair few more laps in over the rest of the week. Forecast is decent ish so hoping that’ll be the case.

Won't be riding anywhere for a while, fell off my sons skateboard in the garden shed and completely dislocated my right arm.
Four plus hours in a & e, took two nurses and one doctor (lots of gas and air) to replace so I'm off the road for a while.

Would it be indelicate to ask what you were trying to do on a skateboard in a shed?:D:D

Nothing too adventurous just rolling across an open double doorway holding onto the lintel, board spun out from under me dropping all my weight through my right arm and I landed with that arm behind my neck and down my back.
Skateboard will meet circular saw as soon as I can wield it.
