a lot prefer the 3m backed mount that comes with them mounted on the side of the lid, then the mic inside the inner lining at the mouth piece. I use sony vegas as do a lot of the other vloggers as its so easy to use but the quality from it is great.also set the mic level setting to one bar or it will be way too loud
