Which Radiator Guard to Purchase

    You can get a fine mesh from B & Q, just cut it to the right shape with a pair of scissors, it's easy enough, and hold it in place with a couple of cable ties, job done at a bargain price. Oh and do it before you get a holed rad not after like I did.. :rolleyes:

    how hot does your bike run with the rad gaurd on ? i.e what temp do you see on the clocks when riding. and then when u stop at the lights ?

    Yeah mine runs hot in traffic if the weather is good. But it did that before the rad guard. Removing the cat helps a bit.

    I'm using an R&G one, doddle to fit, temp does get a bit higher when stopped at lights/doddery old farts etc but the fan cuts in and thats what its there for! ~ before anyone cuts me down for the DOF comment I'm nearly one!! ;) I had an Evotech on my Speed Triple and it fitted just as well as the R&G does on my Blade... you pays your money you takes your choice! Get one ASAP though my mate had to have a new rad on his Blade due to a stone... much dearer than a rad guard :eek:

    hey all,

    do you need to remove the fairings to fit a rad guard?

    R and G was good on my blade, no probs with temp or fitting two cable ties and a bolt :)
