Cheeky? I like to think so. Sod? Down to earth. Inbread? I do at least have the ability to use a spell checker... Sarcastic bastard? That goes without saying.
I went some years ago and they had the best beaches and blue sea we had every been to. A few things to do is 1.Jungle tour which is in a 2 seater boat which is worth doing,my mrs refused to come back with me as she said i was driving it like an idiot as they are fast little thing and turn on a 2 pence piece 2.Do visit the old town for the markets etc 3.Good golf course 4.Visit senor frogs and have one of there yard long drinks they serve Dont know if they are still but on the drive from the airport they were still making the old style vw beatle. 5.A few good historic tours you can do to visit ruins etc 6.If you mrs likes shopping there are some really good shoping malls. 7.If you do have a bad weather day go and visit some of the other hotels as there are some really nice hotels there. Hope this gives you a few pointers.
I spoke to a few people that had been to the dominican republic and they were saying it is not advised to leave the resort, there is no problem leaving the resorts in Mexico, Remal when are you planning on going and on another note i see you are the admin how can i change my screen name.
My lad has a young daughter and she had a great time, made a couple of good friends, so don't discount it mate.
matt I'm sure you'll have a great time, who you flying with? We used the resort credits to upgrade to an ocean front room concierge level which was nice. We also used the credits to go to chitz in itza ( Mayan ruins) which was excellent its a long day but worth it. Also upgraded the wine whilst dining nice bottles too go and have breakfast in the golf and spa section. Posh Americans everywhere lol. We also used credits for a couples massage at the spa my first time and it was great. You enjoy it I'm sure you will.
going with Virgin, got 2500 credits and I gather u use them once you get to the hotel. how do you go about upgrading, just ask them at check it? cheers Tony for the update
Yep just ask them, it can depend on how full it is as to where they can put you but worth asking, there's about 3 desks just to the side of check in (we were in the nizuk section) they have all the info on using your credits. Think we had 2500 . You can go to isle de majuras if I've spelt it right using credits too another good day out, we also went to their sister hotel in cancun ( beach palace) go to the top of the building and enjoy the sky bar
