Have a good one guys. If you got we have here your in for a minter. Remember, pics for us working types please. Be safe.
Ha just sat here and will be leaving about 10.30 sorry you could not make it someone said they spotted The Firebloke through the curtains wearing a smoking jacket and a cravat whats that old dog up to this morning?
I think it's all he's got left to wear after the mouse moved into his garage pmsl. The mouse does have good taste in helmets too I belive
That's his memoire dictating outfit, he must have his handsome young assistant there. Did he have his cigarette holder in his hand at all?
Good to get out! Fek me though i feel rusty as it's been a while since i got the bike out…. My face is numb and i have frostbite in my fingers…. Great to meet Mrs Barney at long last, and nice to see Barney on a bike… it's mint mate! Alblades R1 sounds sweet as a nut..and looks the business too. Bring on the warm weather…...
Well I'm back home now , just got to give bike a wash and that's it , Nice to meet si, giv, andy and al, we met at a garage in Shrewsbury had a chat ,coffee and went off to the pub for lunch , nice to catch up and just relax , my bike feels good just need a bit more time to get used to it and the rest will follow so to speak , need a few more miles before my first service then I can build my speed up and crack on , Most of my miles have been done two up and very enjoyable , like one person said today my wife on the back looks like a rucksack ( cause she's small ) cheeky sod lol, , so until next time lads thank you ,
just about to wash bike - shame it still needs about 400 miles to run it in - goes like fook and the sound is awesome - but the economy.. OMG its bad lol (but knew it would be) - its not a transcontinental touring superbike like the Blade that's for sure! Will upload a few pics once I've washed the R1 before it gets dark. Good to catch up with everyone - shame no 6 person table for lunch but busy day
Oh dear she don't like that picture , she say her hair is a mess and she doing stupid smile , I told her you always look like that , punch to the ribs and told get your own fu* king tea ha ha lol .
Yup bike washed dried and back in the garage .A bit nippy on the fingers first job but summer gloves in mid winter can't be to shabby . Met Al Andy and Si at the services and then took them on a joy ride to pick up the 49 got down to meet the Barneys at the chosen spot had a coffee and then went about 3 miles for pub grub which was ok and nice and warm .Had a blast back noting the Motorbike cop on the tail of some victims February Wtf and back home .Bottom line we got out had some fun give the bikes a run so its all good.
Good Feb spin out on bikes - Met up at petrol station - Giv decided to park in the 'No Parking here' next to the huge LPG tank so got moved on while Andy (for once) realised he needed fuel Headed down to meet up with Steve and then on for some food - first proper run out on this R1 and first time ever running in a new bike - shift light is set at 7k and was on loads... It rides so differently to any other bike I've tried - think of it like a V4 litre bike is closest thing I've been told. Anyhow - after a bite to eat we got some pics done Note in above pic the whole tree is in shot, all the shadow of the bikes, the lamp post not there nor the bit of rubbish - its all about composition lol
Cheers Al good photos .I know you are running in but can we have a bit more on the fuel and handling I can't say I heard that much of the exhaust due to positions and I have ear plugs but what I did hear sounds very much like my 675 but yours was more meaty .I waited for you at the roundabout after the old yogurt factory straight but after the horse box went past I thought you must have took a detour .So let us have a bit more of the R1
Hopefully I can get out with you fellas soon. My bike is up on the ramp being serviced but should have it finished this week.
